Mon-Tech tease new body shell

Mon-Tech Racing from Italy have released a first teaser image of their forthcoming new body shell. No details are available yet but by the look of things the new lid targets the on-road market with the detail visible could be either a touring car or GT body front fender. We are awaiting more details within the next days so stay tuned for more.

Pilot RC Products White Edition piston drill kit

Pilot RC Products have released their new White Edition piston drill kit. The new offering is specifically designed by customer feed back as it includes new sizes that will be essential for 16mm bore shock bodies and pistons as found on Tekno and Schumacher 1/10th scale cars. In addition the sizes are more applicable to 1/8th scale buggies and truggies. New sizes include 1.1mm, 1.15mm, 1.25mm, 1.35mm, 1.45mm, 1.65mm, 1.75mm, 1.85mm, 1.95mm, and 2.9mm bits and the kit also includes an aluminium handle for effortless drilling. The bits are made from Japanese carbide and are super sharp to ensure accurate holes. The White Edition set is available separately or as combo package including the existing Grey Edition bits.

Pro-Line Rock Van crawler body shell – Coming soon

Pro-Line have released a teaser image of their forthcoming all-new Rock Van trail truck body shell. No official information is available yet beside the teaser image, that first appeared on social media, but the 1970’s style body is believed to fit most standard wheelbase crawlers on the market. Full details are expected to surface soon.

Destiny RX-10SR 2.0 floating servo mount set

Destiny have introduced their new optional floating servo mount for the RX-10SR 2.0 touring car. The servo mount comes machined from high-quality, black anodised aluminium and it does away with the kit’s original floating steering system in favour of a standard chassis mounted design that sees the included steering bellcrank posts mounted to the chassis with will make the car more response whereas the original kit’s standard floating steering system makes the car easier to drive.

JC Racing Products Minilite 26mm TC rims

JC Racing Products from the UK have introduced their new Minilite 26mm touring car wheels. The realistic looking 26mm wide rims feature a 48mm tyre bead diameter and are available in +3mm and +5mm offset, to suit a wide range of body shell specifications. They utilise a standard 12mm hex, are usable for touring and rally cars and come in sets of four and in black, silver, gold, blue or white colour to match about any paint scheme and taste.

Muchmore Fleta ZX V2 ER Spec 13.5T motor w/21X rotor

Coming soon from Muchmore is a 13.5T variant of their Fleta ZX V2 ER Spec motor with MR-FZR21X 12.5×7.25×24.2mm [X] titanium rotor. The motor will produce increased torque which comes in handy especially for blink buggy classes and when running in high-bite traction conditions. Besides the rotor, the motor makes use of the same features as the standard ER Spec series, meaning it utilises the highly machined Flow-Max 2 aluminium can, a high-power stator, heavy-duty solder tabs and an adjustable timing end plate, and it is also available in 17.5T and 21-5T variants.

Jackson Brunson doubles at JConcepts Super Cup Rd4

Round 4 of the JConcepts Super Cup was held at NewRed Hobbies in Ocala, Florida over the weekend, attracting 115 entries. The race format saw two rounds of qualifying and double A-mains for all classes. In the premier class of Expert 2WD Mod Jackson Brunson took the win from top qualifier, Lee Setser as AJ Marasco came in 3rd to round out the all-Team-Associated podium.

Desiles Aero 1/8th on-road body mount horns

Desiles Aero have announced the release of their new body mount horns for 1/8th on-road kits such as the ones from Mugen, Shepherd and WRC Racing. The 3-D-printed parts add to the rear body mount as usual, reinforcing the side dams of the body for improved aerodynamic efficiency, however the horns include a lower airfoil that is meant to improve downforce for improved stability at high speeds. The add-on horns are available for Mugen, Shepherd and WRC Racing cars with more brand to follow shortly.
