Serpent announce X20 FWD touring car kit

Serpent have announced the soon release of their new X20 FWD touring car kit. Based on the X20 the front-wheel driven car will utilise the now-popular mid-motor design using a lightweight and strong 1-piece motor mount concept that does away with any interference between the front and rear chassis flex while still allowing centre flex adjustability. The advantage for this design is to allow maximum flex capabilities without impacting the drivetrain, resulting in smoother power delivery, more consistency and less chance of stripping spur gear. McAllister oval racing carbon fibre battery locators

Coming from McAllister Racing and made for Custom Works, GFRP, or Five Seven Designs oval cars are new carbon fibre battery locator sets. These parts are CNC-milled from American-made carbon fibre to be durable and lightweight and they were designed to work well with both shorty and LCG shorty packs. They allow battery charging in the car or quick and easy removal to charge in a LiPo safe container and beside the battery hooks they also include four black anodised aluminium standoffs and an extra O-ring.

Mugen closed-type 17mm wheel nuts

Coming from Mugen and made for their line of 1/8th scale buggies, trucks and GT vehicles is a set of closed 17mm wheel nuts. While offering protection to the thread and wheel axle area, the nuts are also of a larger outer diameter, making for more secure wheel fitting and less wheel wobble on high-bite surfaces. The serrated nuts feature a laser-engraved Mugen logo and they come in sets of four.

Team Associated roll out new RC8B3 series shock parts

Team Associated have announced the release of new shock optionals for their RC8B3 and RC8T3 series of vehicles. First up are new 16mm shock caps with four bleeder holes that ensure easier shock building, maintenance and setup. The caps offer bleeder and bladder functionality and they come including bleeder screws, bleeder screw seals and composite shock mount inserts. Also new are stiff 16mm shock bladders. Adding to the tuning possibilities, the bladder set is great for tracks with big jumps and/or high-impact landings. The parts fit all RC8B3, B3e and RC8T3, and T3e series vehicles.

Kyosho Fazer FZ02 Mk2 semi-assembled kit

Kyosho have announced the soon release of their new Fazer FZ02 Mk2 semi-assembled 4WD electric touring car kit. Based off of the proven Fazer Mk2 the semi-assembled kit can act as a base for own projects with several optionals allowing for higher powered motors and batteries. The kit comes semi-assembled with the drivetrain and upper and lower arms already in place. Included in the kit come optionals such as an aluminium centre driveshaft, front aluminium and steel CV-style driveshafts as well as a transponder mount and multi-functional body mounts that allow to utilise a wide range of body shell shapes. Also part of the package are an aluminium motor spacer for improved heat dissipation, oil-filled shock absorbers as well as wheel hubs for 190mm or 200mm width settings. The kit comes “dry”, meaning drivers can choose their own diff and damper oils and it will hit stores in May.

T-Works T4 & BD10/9 14g tungsten balance weight

Coming from T-Works and made for the use with the Xray T4 and Yokomo BD10 and BD9 touring cars is a 14g tungsten balance weight. Made of super-heavy tungsten material the weight is compact yet very heavy for its size, making it the ideal balance weight for the machined under-battery chassis pocket opposite the motor. It attaches using a factory-applied adhesive tape and it comes in handy especially when running lightweight low-profile battery packs. The weight is usable with the T4 2020 down to the 2018 kit as well as the Yokomo BD10 and the older BD9.

Yokomo BD10 brass clamping wheel hubs

Yokomo have announced the release of their new brass clamping wheel hubs for the BD10 touring car. Weighing in at 5.45g per set and thus being about 3.6g heavier than the standard aluminium adapters, the brass parts will increase unsprung weight which can be beneficial in certain track conditions, such as outdoor tracks. The hubs allow to increase traction on the respective end of the car, allowing to mix and match them with their alloy counterparts with a heavier front making for improved corning while in the rear, the brass hubs can improve stability. The hubs use a 4.0mm offset which is the same as the standard aluminium hubs and they come in sets of two.

Samix SCX10 III alloy outer driveshaft set

Samix have introduced new aluminium outer driveshaft sets for the Axial SCX10 III trail truck. The driveshaft bodies are machined from high-quality aluminium and they come anodised for surface protection and cool looks. The parts were designed as a direct fit for the centre driveshafts and improve rigidity and overall durability. They come in sets of four and in green, black or grey anodising.
