JConcepts 2002 Chevy S-10 drag truck body shell

JConcepts have introduced their new 2002 Chevy S-10 drag truck body shell. The 2002 S-10 was mimicked the larger Chevy pickups during this time with the horizontal bar grille and nicely rounded contours. It looks like a truck, no tricks, no gimmicks, just sincere serviceability and drive. The front-end of the truck designed itself with a lot of carry-over features from the Chevrolet brand which is embodied in the included decal sheet. The hood and cab have been lowered to provide minimal drag to the truck and lends itself to the trucks overall squatty appearance. The bed area has been flattened and raised to provide a lot of clearance and another low-drag feature built into the shell. JConcepts has included a heavy hood-scoop touching off against the windshield and rounding into the front-end until tangency hits. The 13” wheelbase is positioned allowing flexibility on a variety of chassis builds including custom and Team Associated’s new DR10 vehicle. Fender flares are built into the rocker panel just as the scale S-10 and just open and flare enough to house drag racing tires such as the JConcepts Hotties. Included with each body set comes a 2002 Chevy S-10 decal sheet, rear wing option including lower support and upper wing spoiler and the paint mask for all windows.

Rebellion-RC T4F mid-motor conversion kit

RC-Carbonstore have announced the release of their Rebellion-RC mid-motor conversion kit for the popular Xray T4F FWD touring car. Designed for the use with the now redundant T4F 2019, the conversion utilises the design and all of the features of Rebellion-RC’s successful T4 FWD mid-motor conversion with a new upper deck and front shock tower being the most important updates. The front shock tower uses the T4’19 geometry, making for a lower centre of gravity compared to the T4F with the front body mounts being attachable in two different ways – the same as on the T4F or in a regular “4WD-ish” fashion with the body posts mounted to the front bumper. The conversion allows to use all of the existing option parts such as shock springs, anti-roll bars, lower arms etc. and the design enables the owner to convert the car back into a front-motor FWD in case track conditions call for it. The kit will become available including a carbon fibre or CrossFlex aluminium chassis and it includes all needed parts minus the required Xray off-set spur gear.

The T4F 2021 is based off of the T4 2020 all-wheel drive touring car and features an all-new mid-motor layout, meaning Xray have dropped the former front motor layout for the nowadays more common mid-motor design. It also means the FWD car shares about 90 percent of parts with its 4WD family member, making stocking parts a lot easier. As for the design, the T4F 2021 features an all-new central drivetrain that moves the motor and layshaft to the centre of the car to improve on/off power stability and to generate more traction.
