Axial SCX10 III Jeep JL Wrangler trail truck kit

Axial Racing have introduced their new SCX10 III Jeep Wrangler trail truck kit. While continuing to incorporate key components that have made SCX10 vehicles successful, the SCX10 III increases chassis realism with details that include a replica V8 engine to house the front-mounted 540 motor. It is mated to a realistic transmission housing and transfer case, like a full-scale vehicle. The kit’s versatile transmission can be built in several ways. If owners using a 3-channel radio, they can set it up with a third-channel DIG function that lets them lock the rear axle from the transmitter for front wheel drive and a tighter turning radius. Another 3-channel option is to set up the vehicle with a two-speed transmission to select between high and low speeds. To have access to the two-speed transmission and DIG function simultaneously, just add another servo and use a radio with at least four channels. The SCX10 III Jeep JL Wrangler kit uses portal axles to improve performance by increasing the ground clearance and reducing torque twist. Its standard battery tray accepts full-size standard LiPo or NiMH packs. There is also space on the side rails for drivers who prefer “shorty” packs. Inner fenders and floor sides hide internal components that would usually be visible from the side of the chassis. To top off the chassis, the kit comes with a clear Jeep Wrangler Unlimited four-door body that’s ready for finishing in whatever colour or design. Scale details include a roll cage, front hood vents and cowl, windshield wipers, mirrors, door handles and more, plus a detailed interior. New taller and wider, officially licensed Nitto Trail Grappler tyres on 3-piece licensed KMC Machete beadlock wheels add more scale realism and more grip on dirt, rocks, and all other off-road trails.

Xray XB4 +2mm hard suspension arms

Xray have announced the release of their new +2mm front and rear suspension arms for the XB4 1/10th scale 4WD buggy. Moulded from a hard composite material the arms sport a redesigned geometry that will improve handling and increase traction especially over bumpier parts of the track. In addition the design of the front arm, that is usable both on the left and right hand side of the buggy, allows for a greater range of adjustments as the opening for the C-hub is larger for greater wheelbase adjustment possibilities compared to the previous versions. As for the rear arms, that are available separately for the left and right hand side, they allow for variable positioning of the rear shocks. Depending on track conditions, the rear shocks can be installed either in front of or behind the rear shock tower, and the rear shock tower can be placed either in front of or behind the bulkhead. All suspension arms come moulded from a high-quality hard composite material for a balanced performance and exceptional durability.

GForce GD250 stand alone discharger

GForce from Japan have introduced their new GD250 stand alone discharger for 2S to 8S LiPo and 2-cell to 30-cell NiMH battery packs. With its 250W power circuitry it allows for up to 35A of discharge current with a 2S LiPo or LiHV battery pack, enough to swiftly discharge a fully charged battery down to storage voltage or to check a pack’s condition under heavier loads that the discharge function of a charger can supply. A display allows to monitor voltage, current and capacity in real time. The discharger can be coupled with a Windows PC and by using GForce’s GF Batt Manager software more details can be obtained from the discharge process – however the software is only available in Japanese language as of yet.
