Xray 12g pure Tungsten chassis balance weight

Xray have introduced their new 12g pure Tungsten chassis balance weight for the T4 2020 mid-motor car. Due to being made of super heavy Tungsten material the weight is smaller than a comparable 12g brass weight, meaning it takes less space, ensuring an ultra low centre of gravity and allowing to fine-tune the car’s weight balance with ease. The weight sports a laser-engraved Xray logo and it is best mounted using ultra-thin double-sided tape.

Camacho & Aguirre win at NEOS Rd3

The Barceloneta RC Complex in Puerto Rico hosted round 3 of the NEOS Nitro Electric On Road Series last weekend, attracting nearly 50 entries. In the 1/8th Open IC Track class it was Antonio Mellado with the overall TQ from Peter Alvarado in 2nd. After the 30-minute A-main event however it was Guillermo Camacho with the win some 15 seconds in front of Peter as Fernando Mendez came in 3rd overall. TQ Antonio had to settle for 11th overall.

BMT 801 GTX conversion kit

Coming from BMT is their new 801 GTX conversion kit that includes new front and rear aluminium bulkheads as well as many other parts. The conversion was developed to replace the enclosed standard composite gearboxes with new open-type alloy variants that offer greater stiffness, easier diff access and other advantages. Included in the set are the new bulkhead halves, a new shock tower, anti-roll bar as well as a new rear body mount.

Kevin Nielsen crowned Danish Modified Touring champ

The Danish Electric On-road Nationals came to an abrupt end this season as due to the world-wide Corona pandemic the final round had to be cancelled. This allowed Kevin Nielsen to take the overall title in his maiden Modified Touring Car season thanks to taking three wins out of the three rounds that count towards the overall championship.

Mx B4R Euro Evolution Edition nitro engine

Maxima Mx Europe have introduced their new B4R Euro Evolution Edition nitro off-road engine. Based on the popular B4R the Evolution Edition features a new low-friction back plate for mimimised internal friction and thus higher performance, a cooler running engine, improved mileage and increased parts life. The backplates are also available separately, and they can be customised with a name logo, in order to upgrade the first batch of B4R Euro engines.

Auto Model Racing RB7 balance weights

Auto Model Racing from Japan have introduced their new servo and ESC balance weights for the Kyosho RB7 buggy. Designed to fit right into the already existing chassis pockets of the RB7 and RB7SS, the servo weight adds 13g while the speed controller weight adds 11g of weight. They will be attached using thin double-sided tape, come in handy especially on high-bite surfaces such as carpet and grippy astro turf, and they come as a set.

Rêve D RWD drift car aluminium front axle set

Coming from Rêve D and made for many RWD drift car chassis is an ASL super lightweight aluminium front axle set. The wheel axles feature an integrated hub design, minimising parts involved while maximising precision for less wobble and play and thus improved precision. Due to the lightweight design the rotational efficiency is increased which is essential for a well-handling RWD drift car and several hex shims allow to adjust axle weight and track width. The parts fit both the Rêve D front steering knuckle as well as the respective Yokomo YD-2 series hub and the wheel axle set as well as the track width spacer will become available from end of March.

Adam Drake wins at Holiday Hangover RC Arenacross 2020

The city of Moses Lake, Washington hosted the Holiday Hangover RC Arenacross 2020 last weekend. While Joe Bornhorst swept the Nitro Buggy, Nitro Truggy and Electric Buggy classes it was Mugen’s Adam Drake who took the win in the Pro-Line Spec Nitro Buggy A-main. Adam started from P1 and brought home the win flag to flag, leaving behind Kyosho’s Cody Grams in 2nd, a lap down as Xray’s Joseph Johnson came in 3rd, another lap down.
