Saturday’s action at the 2018 EWS International concluded with Infinity’s Yannic Prümper atop the ranking lists in the Modified class. The German had started off the day with a second place in the opening qualifier, and backed that up with a TQ run in the evening’s Q3 round. Capricorn have announced the signing of Italian nitro on-road frontrunner, Mirko Salemi to their factory team. Mirko already had the first outing for his new chassis sponsor, taking the win at the year end race in Fiorano with his LAB C803 car. …Gareth Williams. Underwood managed to take the seeding honours on the final round. The Tamiya support class was producing great entertainment from with the off with John Yarnall showing the fastest pace. The tight qualifying rounds really tested the drivers and how they approached the rounds. Both top seeds in GT12 and TC hit problems in the first round meaning they would have to be very careful in the remaining ones. Team Associated’s Dustin Evans was the man to beat in the Modified classes as he took the TQ and win Pro 2WD Mod Buggy, 4WD Mod Buggy and Mod Stadium Truck. Yokomo’s JP Richards came in 2nd in Pro 2WD Mod Buggy from TLR’s Tyler Jones on the 3 spot. The 4WD Mod Buggy top 3 was completed by Yokomo’s Max Flurer and TLR’s Tyler Jones while Dustin was accompanied by Yokomo’s Max Flurer and TLR driver Aaron Kothman in Mod Truck. …Egger battled until the final A-main with Marco holding the upper hand over Patrick and Marco Egger. Marco Siegenthaler suffered from bad luck and had the pace for more. Overall in the championship Marco Siegenthaler took the title from Marco Egger on the runner-up spot. Beni Stutz completed the top 3. The Formula class was a close affair between Matthias Gmeinwieser and Christian Stöckl. In the end at was Matthias with the win from the pole position as Christian had to settle for 2nd. In the championship however it was Christian with the win from Martin Stöckl and Costa Siegfried….

The characteristic of the rotors will provide a smoother pickup acceleration without sacrificing top speed.
