Round 2 of the Essex Winter Series presented by Infinity took place over the weekend with Kyle Branson taking the win. In qualifying Branson topped the first three qualifiers before having issues in Q4 which was topped by Alex Thurston securing the Capricorn driver 2nd on the grid. A string of P2 times would give the Xray of Harley Eldridge 3rd on the grid ahead of Schumacher’s Andy Murray. Returning after a 3-year break, the JMRCA All Japan Championships for 1:10 Offroad took place over the weekend where Yokomo’s Yui Kaino and Team AJ/Team Associated driver Kouki Kato where crowned the 2022 Champions. Racing at the RC Park Gojo, in 2WD qualifying it was Kaino who secured the overall TQ as he was fastest in the opening two of the three rounds. Topping Q3, double defending champion Yuusuke Sugiura would secure second on the grid with the Xray of Shoya Yamazaki lining up 3rd. 4WD qualifying saw three different drivers post TQ runs but setting the fastest outright time…

…and lost the lead. Eventually Ellis would take up the lead after both Rich Miller and Karl Jackson had held onto it themselves for a few laps. Ellis (Schumacher) would hold on for a comfortable victory ahead of Rich Miller (Schumacher) and a recovering Abe Lyons (Associated) in third. JConcepts is wrapping up the 12th season of its popular Indoor National Series with the INS12 Finals at Action Hobby in Arizona this weekend where Spencer Rivkin has clinched the double TQ in buggy. The fifth race of the annual series, the Team Associated driver secured the overall TQ in 2WD Mod after taking the opening 2 of the 3 qualifiers. …third of the juniors today. A depleted number of juniors but non the less they are al improving each time they get on the track. James and Lucy had a great race with them both never separated by much. At the end of five minutes only a second would separate them. Sam Isaacs has done the double at the 42nd running of the U.S. Indoor Champs in Cleveland, the Awesomatix driver taking home the win in both Mod Touring Car and Mod 1:12. In Touring Car the title was decided by a single A-Main. Starting second on the grid, Isaacs went to the front on lap 2 as Top Qualifier Keven Hebert plummeted down the order. Behind, Schumacher’s Michal Orlowski followed Isaacs home to claimed second with Kemp Anderson’s Awesomatix close on his bumper completing the podium.
