Yeah Racing CC01 blue rear axle skid plate

Yeah Racing have introduced their new rear axle skid plate for the Tamiya CC01 chassis. The set includes a machined aluminium axle protector plate as well as all needed mounting hardware to outfit the rear axle of Tamiya’s off-road chassis. While adding visual impact the skid plate also saves the rear transmission housing from wear and tear that can occur when tackling gruelling off-road trails.

HRC Racing large crawler luggage tray

HRC Distribution have introduced their new HRC Racing large crawler luggage trays for 1/10th scale trail trucks. Available in black or silver, the roof racks are of a scale design and feature four bright LED lights and a spare wheel location for an even more realistic appearance. Each kit includes the necessary hardware and it fits many of today’s trail truck body shells.

Jeon Hanyoung doubles at Yokomo Championship

The Korean Yokomo Championship was held last weekend and it was Serpent’s Jeon Hanyoung with the win in both the 2WD and 4WD Buggy classes. The Yokomo duo of Sin Minsu and Woo Hongmin would come in 2nd and 3rd in the 2WD class while the wheeler podium was rounded out by TLR’s Han Suman and Yokomo’s Si Minsu.

Ongaro & Baruffolo win at Italian Tekno Trophy

The Italian Tekno RC Trophy was held at the Rapallo track last weekend. The event was held in 1/8th Nitro and Electric classes and in the F1 Nitro A-main it was Team Associated’s Davide Ongaro with the win in challenging, slippery conditions. Xray’s Marco Baruffolo would come in 2nd from Tekno RC’s Alex Zanchettin 3rd. Over in 1/8th E-Buggy and after some entertaining triple A-mains it was Marco Baruffolo with the win after the tie-breaker from Davide Ongaro 2nd and Alex Zanchettin 3rd.

Breathless Racing Products BK’s ball cup pliers

Available now from Breathless Racing Products is the BK’s ball cup pliers. Developed in cooperation with 1/10th off-road icon Brian Kinwald, the tool allows to easily attach ball cups on pretty much any 1/10th vehicle while saving the mechanic’s fingers and the car’s shiny aluminium as they focus the force on the ballstud itself and eliminate the need for using fingers or pliers on the surrounding parts.

Yokomo Racing Performer Ultra dirt spec springs

Coming from Yokomo is the new Racing Performer Ultra dirt spec range of springs for 1/10th off-road buggies. Developed with the help of Yokomo’s Ryan Maifield, Lee Martin and Shin Adachi, these springs provide a very linear suspension feel as well as increased traction, stability, and jumping/landing on dirt surfaces. The colour-coded springs are available as hard, medium and soft front as well as hard and soft rear variants and they will ship early February.

JConcepts B64 series lower front wing & nose cone

Coming from JConcepts and made for the Team Associated B64 series of 4WD buggies is a lower front wing and nose cone. The lower wing is an option to the tower mounted front wing that has shown to produce enhanced steering characteristics. The package includes the lower front wing and the nose cone on the same mould. The nose cone is similar to what would be found on a 1/8th off-road buggy. The lower front wing can be painted, left clear or frosted for the desired look, fit and finish.

Tollard & Bornhorst win at Tekno Indoor Champs

Race Em RC Raceway of Rockford, Illinois hosted the Tekno Indoor Championship this past weekend. The event was held in several electric off-road classes and in the premier 2WD Mod Buggy category it was Joe Bornhorst with the TQ from Cole Tollard and Austin Wick. After the triple A-mains however it was Cole who held the upper hand courtesy of wins in A2 and A3 as Joe had to settle for 2nd with 1-3-3 finishes. In 3rd Austin Wick was able to conserve his qualifying performance.
