Tommy Hinz sweeps RTS Carpet Cross

The recent RTS Carpet Cross race saw Tommy Hinz making a clean sweep in both the 2WD and 4WD Buggy classes. The race was held on a small and tight track and following the practice rounds on Saturday the opening two qualifiers were held on Saturday evening. Tommy would TQ the two rounds in both 2WD and 4WD and also also came out fastest on O3 and Q4 of 2WD and 4WD Buggy on Sunday. Luck was on his side in both 8-minute A-mains and he got through traffic on the small track without any major hiccups and ended up with the win in both classes. In 2WD Carl Engleman and Jared Bardin would complete the podium while Ian Maize and Jeff Statkiewicz rounded out the 4WD top 3.

2018 Silver State race – Report

The 2018 Silver State race was held at South Point Hotel Casino and Spa in Las Vegas, Nevada last weekend, attracting the creme de la creme of the US’s off-road pilots. This year’s Silver State was a totally new experience from year’s past. One of the reasons why the Silver State is so popular is the plain and simple fact that it’s held in Las Vegas, Nevada also known as City of Lights (or Sin City whichever you prefer). Keeping the tradition alive, Joey decided to keep the race in Vegas but came up with a great idea to have an 8th scale and 5th scale race simultaneously at the South Point Hotel Casino and Spa. To everyone’s pleasant surprise, Joey hit the jackpot.
