JConcepts 20th Anniversary grid apparel

JConcepts has released the Grid t-shirt and hoodie as part of their 20th anniversary season celebration.  After a successful 2023 campaign, the team from Groveland, Florida has prepared a new graphic displaying an alternative anniversary logo combined with an updated background to bolster the design.  The viewer’s eye carefully locks in on the grid design in blue, while the fresh JConcepts logo pops in bright white printing.  On the sleeve, the racing checkerboard design provides the winning fit and finish to the design.  The stealth black shirt produced in 100% cotton fabric has a comfortable feel while the stealth black hoodie, pullover sweatshirt is produced in 50/50 fabric, has a comfortable feel, and is available in sizes ranging from small to triple extra-large.

LRP ‘Highflex’ V2 Sensor Wires

LRP has introduced a new range of ‘Highflex’ V2 Sensor Wires.  Based on their popular original sensor wires they get further improved specification and the addition of 175mm length which is perfect for 1:10 2WD use.  Also available in 70mm, 95mm, 150mm and 200mm, each sensor wire is packaged 3 wire strands next to each other and stacked in 2 rows on top of each other, perfectly positioned with a shrink tube, which is not too tight and not too loose with further improved crimping.  This gives a tight fit to the motor and ESC sensor ports.

T-Works 1:8 & 1:10 Handheld Tyre Balancer

New from T-Works is this handheld tyre balance for both 1:8 and 1:10 wheels.  The tool has been designed to balance most 12mm hex and 17mm hex wheels, including 1:10 buggy, short course, 1:8 buggy and truggy.  To change between 1:8 and 1:10 wheels simple the switch around of wheel adapter on the handle.

HotRace 1:8 Offroad tyre sidewall stiffeners

Italy’s HotRace Tyres has introduced their new ‘Tyre Side Stiffener’ for use with their 1:8 Offroad range of tyres.  The sidewall stiffeners can be fitted by gluing to the inside and outside of the tyres.  Sold as a set of four, they are  recommended when your buggy has too much lateral grip and such cases they will help improve stability and reduce the risk of your car to traction roll.

Matrix Offroad tyre balance weights

Adapting the balancing system that they have had in use in onroad nitro racing for a number of years, Matrix Tires has now introduced the concept of its screw in balancing weights for Offroad use.  Available in 0.4, 0.7, 1.1, 1.5 & 1.9 grams options, the grub screw weights are fixed into the holes included in the Italian company’s rim design allowing you to get the perfect balance of your tyres.

Exotek Reflex 14B/T/MT alu option parts

California based Exotek Racing has released a series of aluminium option parts the Team Associated Reflex 14B, 14T, and 14MT series of 1:14 4WD offroad chassis.  Made from heavy duty alloy with a polished blue finish, at the front end of the chassis the parts includes steering hubs with machined bearing pockets and heavy duty construction for smooth and precise steering operation, alloy caster hubs and steering cranks.  The steering cranks includes 4x M7x4 bearings and m2.5×6 and m2x6 steel hardware.  At the rear, Exotek has produced heavy duty alloy rear hubs which are also in their blue finish and carry Exotek branding.

Landén doubles in Swedish National Cup – Report

Over the weekend the second & final round of the 1:10 Buggy Swedish National Cup was held in Borås where it was Team Associated driver Alexander Landén who completed the series double.  The largest indoor event for a long time in Sweden, the race attracted 63 2WD and 43 4WD drivers who arrived Saturday morning to a freshly built layout for the series decider.  In 2WD, right from the start it was quite clear that Landén seemed to be the one to beat this time.  Locking out all four qualifying rounds we also had the opportunity to test some new ideas on the setup during the fourth round, which improved the car even more for the finals. Behind Alexander, Xray drivers Hampus Berg and David Ronnefalk would line up 2nd and 3rd on the grid. Alexander secured the win by taking the first two rounds with relative comfort, being the only driver scoring 19 lap runs.  Hampus Berg won the final leg and by that securing second and third place went to Otto Ausfelt (AE) tied on points with Ronnefalk.  This also meant that Landén was crowned the overall Series Champion.
