Harper wins EWS Round 2

The second round of the Essex Winter Series took place over the weekend with series champion Elliot Harper take the win ahead of Round 1 winner Olly Jefferies.  In qualifying it was the Schumacher of Harper who secured the TQ for the single A-main as he topped the opening 3 of the four qualifiers.  Taking ihs Awesomatix to the top of the times in Q4, Jefferies would secure P2 on the grid ahead of Kyle Branson and Xray’s Harley Eldridge.   In the final, while Fefferies would set the fastest lap he was unable to get by Harper with the pair separated by 15/100th of a seconds at he end of the 5-minutes.  Behind them Branson would complete the podium as he did at the season opener with Eldridge 4th.  In Stock and FWD it was repeat wins for the Round 1 victors.  Zak Finlay secured the Stock TQ from where he would add win No.2 while Iris driver Adam Southgate did the same in FWD.   The 5 round EWS now takes a short break from racing as organiser Oli Meggitt and his crew turn their attentions to the sold out annual 2-day EWS International which takes place on December 7-8.

Mikimodel MS1.0 ‘Special Parts’ Spring Stabiliser Rings

Mikimodel, the Italian Yokomo distributor, has released these Spring Stabiliser Rings intended for the Japanese manufacturer’s MS1.0 1:10 Electric Touring Car.  Part of the ‘Mikimodel Special Parts’ line, they have developed this new simple but very important accessory to stabilise the spring on the shocks of the MS1.0.  The rings that are placed at the base of the shock absorber and preventing small movements and make the spring more stable as the shock works.

Kaaak Racing 22 5.0 Conversion Kit

Kaaak Racing, a new brand from Germany focused on high-performance parts for 1:10 offroad, is excited to introduce its first conversion kit for the TLR 22 5.0 2WD Buggy.  This innovative kit features a 3-gear design gearbox, with a unique large idler gear.  As a result, the motor is moved significantly forward compared to the stock position, improving overall handling and performance.  The gearbox is designed for easy access to the differential, making maintenance and adjustments hassle-free.  Both the link mounts and motor plate have been optimised for better performance.  Additionally, the gearbox offers a simple solution for adding a roll bar, provided you are using the common 4WD rear arms.  The conversion also includes a custom C-block to enable the use of these 4WD rear arms.  The plastic parts are manufactured using a high-quality printing process, ensuring durability and precision. T-Works Alu Multi-adjust Shock Caps

T-Works has introduced these Aluminium Multi-adjust Shock Caps available for Infinity’s IFB8, Tekno’s NB48/EB48 2.2 and Kyosho’s MP10/MP9 1:8 buggies.  The shock caps are made from high quality  7075-T6 aluminium and black anodised for added strength and durability.  The package includes 3 different adjustable shock caps and 3 different seals – honeycomb, round cap, and O-ring.  Each combination will have different shock rebound effects, to keep the shock system at its best working condition, thus ensuring the car is more stable and controllable during operation.

Landen joins Power HD team

Leading servo manufacturer Power HD has announced the signing of Offroad European Championship Finalist, 3 time Swedish National Champion and 2 time Nordic Champion Alexander Landén to their team.  The Team Associated racer will use Power HD’s popular low profile servo GTS-3 in his 1:10 buggies and their high torque 4-pole brushless GTS-6 servo in 1:8 racing.  On joining Power HD the 19-year-old Swede said, “I have tried many servo brands throughout the years, and I was happy to get the opportunity to evaluate the Power HD servos. Immediately when I tested them I really felt “in touch” with the steering in my cars. I also felt that the servo was very precise and was able to hold position even through the most loaded corners, the car just felt calm throughout the entire turn, exactly what you are looking for in a servo. Xray XB4 ’25 1:10 4WD Buggy

After the release of their 1:10 2WD Buggy at the start of the month, Xray has now unveiled details of its European Championship title holding 4WD challenger the XB4’25.  The Slovakian manufacturer’s latest creation headed up by Martin Bayer, features a new chassis and aligned front bumper improve ground clearance.  It also gets 3mm wider front suspension arm holders (A and B) for increased stability & cornering speed. Wide rear suspension arm holders (C and D) also increase stability & cornering speed.  Longer front 84mm drive shafts accommodate wider geometry from the new arm holders.  Available as a Dirt or Carpet edition kit,  the XB4C comes with Graphite front lower suspension arms to improve high traction performance.  The XB4D kit includes hard front lower suspension arms to create increase traction.  Graphite C-hubs improve response & consistency.  Also new on the 25 model are the front steering blocks with external adjustable carbon steering plates for extended tuning options.  Elsewhere the buggy get redesigned front and rear anti-roll bar geometry with super easy adjustment from top.  Shorter 113mm rear central dogbone drive shaft in the XB4D kit are for short wheelbase configuration suggested for lower traction conditions
