The 2nd Annual Cactus Classic hosted by Hobby Action was a spectacular show, selling out 300 entries in just 38 minutes after opening registration. This year’s track build was built by track master Levi Jackson, who constructed a simple, yet racey layout that made for some great main event action. The layout was on the more traditional side that featured elevation in almost every corner and also a very difficult triple in the middle of the track that was the “X factor”. Available now is MR33’s new V3 Asphalt additive. It was developed especially for the use on asphalt as it is slightly thicker than the previous version. Furthermore the new formula was created to reduce the aggressiveness on tyres. This effect is a benefit especially for Formula cars that had to deal with some problems last season but the V3 test results showed high traction and less tyre wear. Zero Tribe from Japan have released a first rendering of their FWD conversion kit for the Xray T4 [2016/17] series of 4WD touring cars. Coming from the same mind as the Spice BD7 FWD kit, the design uses as many original parts as possible without making compromises in terms of performance. T-Works have introduced two sets of front CV-style driveshafts for the Xray XB4’18 and ’17 buggies. Available as standard or special “left thread” set, the driveshafts are made form high-quality steel for durability while the machined wheel axle shafts ensure a good bearing fit. The sets are direct replacements with the left thread set, utilising a single left thread wheel axle, being made to reduce the chance of loosing the wheel nut as it will self-lock during use.
