The final round of the JBRL Nitro Series was held at the Pro-Line test track last weekend and the event saw former IFMAR World Champion, Cody King walking away with the overall title in the Expert Buggy class. …previous TQs fell in many classes from round 1 to round 4, keeping everyone on their toes and wrenching in the pits to find that something extra. Many former Stock class winners also jumped into the Mod arena in Touring Car while trying the test class of 12th 6.5 blinky. In Touring Modified many of the Stock guys performed brilliantly, showing that they have the ability to belong there. …qualified in fourth and fifth respectively. The finals were great to watch with some intense battles and great respect between the drivers. In the end, Mitchell took the win with his VBC, followed by Thomas’s Yokomo and Florian’s Tamiya. Youngsters Athan De Witte (VBC) and Liam Van de Wauwer (Yokomo) finished in fourth and sixth while Stefan Rommens placed his new Team Magic to the 5th place. The 2016 Austrian Electric Off-road National Championship recently concluded with round five held at the WBC Hoheneich club in the north of the country. As one round was cancelled due to rain this was actually the forth round and was local hero, Roland Macho (Xray) who excelled in the 4WD Buggy class by taking the TQ in all qualifying rounds to leave Martin Kreil (TLR) and Hupo Hönigl (Xray) behind in second and third respectively. The finals were a very exciting affair with the top 3 drivers all finishing tie on points meaning the tie-breaker would decide the overall standings…
