Exotek have introduced the Flite aluminium motor plate for the Xray XB2 Dirt Edition buggy. Machined from high-quality 7075 aluminium and coming black anodised and with silver chamfered edges the motor plate’s vented design allows to reduce motor and slipper temperatures while also looking the part. The extra machining also reduces weight and lowers the centre of gravity without weakening the critical motor mounting areas, making for solid motor mounting and gear mesh. Coming from JConcepts and made for Team Associated’s 6th generation buggies are a total of four front wing options. The fast and demanding Collari track in Cassino, Italy played host to the Italian AMSCI 1/10th Electric Formula Championship this past weekend. The race format was double 15 minute A-mains with a mandatory pit stop and the weather was extremely hot, making for a real test for men and machines. Yokomo driver Luca Magnocavallo would come out fastest after the two A-mains from Yokomo teammate Antonio Capuano with Xray driver Alessandro Manciocchi completing the top 3 result. Team Associated have introduced the laydown transmission conversion set for the B6D 2WD buggy. Including everything needed to convert the B6D from a standup configuration to laydown, the set comes with new gearbox halves, blue anodised motor plate, idler gear and gearbox brace. The laydown transmission will lower the vehicle’s overall centre of gravity, reducing polar moment and thus increasing corner speed in higher grip conditions. LCRC Raceway in Oakland Mill, Pennsylvania will play host to the 2016 Mugen Challenge from August 19th to 21st. The event will see the usual mix of Expert, Intermediate and Novice classes in both electric and nitro, plus 4WD Mod SCT and SCT Lites racing. Additionally Mugen Seiki’s Adam Drake will be holding a clinic with one-on-one car setup.
