Team Associated Reflex 1:18 4WD off-road buggy

Team Associated have introduced the Reflex 1/18th scale 4WD ready-to-run off-road buggy. The former RC18 received a bodyshell with a new paint scheme but otherwise relies on proven features such as white spoked wheels, the XP radio system , fluid-filled shocks, and an inline mounted Super 370 high performance motor. A 6-cell battery and wall charger are also included with the buggy being available with a black or white livery.

Kyosho expands Optima 2016 option parts range

Kyosho have expanded their range of optional parts for the Optima 2016 re-release 1/10th scale 4WD buggy. First up is a CNC-machined aluminium motor plate. The part is of a greatly updated design compared to the stock motor plate as it offers a heatsink design that will reduce the motor temperatures while the gun metal anodising improves the visual appearance compared to the standard silver alloy part.

STRC SCX10 II alloy steering knuckles

ST Racing Concepts have introduced a new option part for Axial’s SCX10 II off-road vehicle in the form of aluminium steering knuckles. Precision CNC-machined from high-quality aluminium, the steering knuckles greatly improves the durability of truck’s front axle and steering response, while adding visual impact at the same time. The parts come in parts and are available in black, gun metal, red and silver anodising.

T-Works Optima gold-plated steel screw set

Coming from T-Works and made for Kyosho’s Optima re-release buggy is a gold-plated steel screw set. It includes a total of 90 countersunk, button head and cap head fasteners to add some bling to Kyosho’s iconic 1/10th 4WD buggy without compromising strength.

Tamiya Blackfoot 2016 1/10th 2WD truck

Tamiya have announced the soon release of the 2016 Blackfoot 1/10th scale 2WD truck kit. The re-release of the original 1986 Blackfoot features a number of upgrades while still keeping that oldschool appearance and so the vehicle sports a 4-wheel independent suspension design with a front double wishbone and rear trailing arm setup, the kit comes with CVA shock absorbers as well as rear universal driveshafts for improved reliability, efficiency and power supply. Part of the kit are also yellow wheels with chevron-tread tyres and also the Blackfoot’s iconic pick-up truck bodyshell. The ’16 kit will become available by mid-September.

STRC introduce more SCX10 II aluminium option parts

Coming from STRC and made for Axial’s all-new SCX10 II truck is a range of aluminium option parts that add to the already existing range. Available are a CNC-machined aluminium heavy duty motor mount, front C-hubs, and heavy duty diff covers. The centre motor mount combines the once two piece plastic construction into one solid aluminium piece that will also help with dissipating heat from the motor. The front C-hubs greatly increase durability of the front axle along with the great looking diff covers as well. The alloy option parts also add a bit more desirable overall weight to the vehicle improving its stability over the trails and they are available in anodised black, gun metal, red and silver.

Pro-Line rolls out new 1/10th scale tyres

Coming from Pro-Line are several new off-road tyres in the form of the Electron Lite 2.2″ rear buggy tyre, the pre-mounted 2.8″ Destroyer truck tyre as well as a range of Interco TLS SX Super Swamper tyres. Starting with the Electron Lite 2.2″, the tyre is similar in tread design to its big brother but has a lower profile carcass shape and smaller, more densely packed pins for improved performance on those pure clay tracks with little to no dust. Furthermore the tyre features connected tyre tread technology that improves traction and wear on even the most abrasive of indoor track conditions. The square centre pins laid out between the connected tread provide consistent forward and side bite. The tyre is available in M4 super soft and MC clay compound.

Pro-Line D815 Predator & 1985 Toyota HiLux bodyshells

Pro-Line have introduced three new bodyshells in the form of the Predator design body for the HB Racing D815 as well as two 1985 Toyota HiLux scaler offerings. Starting with the D815 body, P-L’s Predator is now also available for HB Racing’s current 1/8th off-road buggy with the design taking features from the Phantom and Type-R bodies to create a whole new look and balanced performance in any condition. The body comes clear, it is a direct fit and also includes a high downforce nose piece for increased front traction along with a standard nose piece.
