Cox Optima 2016 carbon fibre option parts

Coming from Cox and made for the Kyosho Optima 2016 vintage 4WD re-release buggy are several carbon fibre option parts. The range includes a 2mm radio plate, 2.5mm rear and 2mm front side plates, 3.0mm front and 2.5mm rear shock stays as well as a 2.5mm front suspension and 2mm rear belt cover plate. All parts are cut from high-quality carbon fibre, they are direct replacements for the stock items and not only add visual impact but also make for a lower overall weight and they do away with bending issues associated with the original alloy parts.

Kyosho Mad Force PBR shocks & C-universal driveshafts

Kyosho have introduced new option parts for the Mad Force 1/8th off-road truck in the form of PBR shock absorbers and C-universal driveshafts. The PBR piggyback reservoir oil-filled shock absorbers are all-aluminium dampers and they feature threaded shock bodies, coated piston rods and a working piggyback reservoir for improved performance and looks. They are sold as pairs, fit the Mad Force and FO-XX trucks and come including mounting hardware. Also new are the C-universal driveshafts for the front and rear centre drivetrain. The parts improve the efficiency and durability of the drivetrain and they are available separately. Like the PBR shocks the C-universal fit both the Mad Force and FO-XX trucks.

Losi Baja Rey 1/10th 4WD RTR desert truck

Horizon Hobby have introduced the new Losi Baja Rey 1/10th scale 4WD ready-to-run desert truck. The vehicle builds on a Baja-inspired 4WD chassis with long-travel suspension. The foundation consists of a 3mm, hard-anodised aluminium chassis plate that is integrated with a realistic roll cage made of super-tough composite material. To this it adds a long-travel, independent front suspension and 4-link live rear axle that look and function exactly like their full-scale counterparts. The long-travel shocks are soaking up the energy from big bumps and jumps and they also feature threaded shock bodies with adjustment collars to fine-tune the pre-load settings of the coil-over springs. External bump stops provide plush landings on the hardest surfaces.

Pro-Line 1973 Ford Bronco rock crawler bodyshell

Pro-Line have introduced the 1973 Ford Bronco rock crawler bodyshell for 12″/305mm wheelbase rigs. Capturing the overall essence of the original Bronco the body features a detailed grill, headlights, body moulding trim and that distinct Bronco look. The body fits trucks such as the Axial SCX10 and Vaterra Ascender and it comes clear, including window masks and a comprehensive decal sheet.

PowerHD LW-20MG waterproof servo

PowerHD have introduced their all-new LW-20MG standard size servo. Being fully waterproof the servo is ideal for crawler and buggy applications and it offers a torque of up to 20kg-cm and a speed of down to 0.16s. It features dual ball bearings, copper and aluminium gears and it is usable with 4.8V to 6.6V input.

Yaiba Racing Yeti aluminium front C-hubs

Japanese company Tresrey have introduced the Yaiba Racing aluminium front C-hubs for the Axial Yeti and Exo kits. Machined from high-quality aluminium and coming red or black anodised they replace the standard composite hubs with more durable parts. An additional dirt shield also improves the protection of the universal driveshafts from dust and dirt. The C-hubs are direct replacements and they come in sets of two.

Serpent announce new 1/8th electric RTR kits

During this week’s 2016 Beijing Hobby Show Serpent is displaying two forthcoming, electric-powered 1/8th scale RTR vehicles. Adding to the company’s impressive +30 cars line-up soon are the Cobra RTR E-Truggy and the Cobra RTR electric monster truck. More information on the 6S LiPo-compatible vehicles will become available in time for the release.

Xtreme Racing Optima carbon fibre option parts

Xtreme Racing have released a range of carbon fibre option parts for the Kyosho Optima re-release buggy in the form of a radio tray as well as front and rear shock towers. The radio tray is cut from 2mm carbon material and it replaces the standard fibreglass part with a better looking and more rigid solution. The plate matches the stock dimensions and it is a direct replacement. The front and rear shock towers are cut from 3mm material to replace the kit’s aluminium parts. The towers match the stock suspension geometry and they are available separately.
