Fantom Racing have introduced their new 8000mAh 7.6V Pro HV Silicon Graphene hardcase battery pack. Built from high-quality 110C/160C cells the battery measures 139x47x25mm and it weighs in at 321g. Associated Electrics have introduced their all-new Enduro Sendero RTR trail truck, the first vehicle out of their new Element RC line of high-quality ready-to-run vehicles. At the heart of the Enduro is Element RC’s revolutionary Stealth X gearbox. Although the exterior appears to have a conventional 3-gear transmission look, the inside is far from conventional. The transmission features the ability to adjust the rear drive ratio independently from the front drive across three levels: stock overdrives the front end 5.7%, option 1 provides a one-to-one drive ratio front-to-rear, and option 2 overdrives the front end 11.83%. Feeding the power to the tires are 3-piece telescopic driveshafts with an extruded aluminum center section, universal front drive axles, and hardened steel ring and pinion gears. With the Enduro drivetrain, delivering useful power will not be an issue.
Coming from Yeah Racing and made for the Tamiya XV-01 kits is a long carbon fibre rear shock tower. A replacement for the standard plastic part the carbon fibre item offers improved stability and strength as well as added visual impact. Machined from high-quality carbon fibre the tower comes including mounting hardware.

Tamiya have released a first image of their forthcoming Monster Beetle Trail truck based on the new GF-01TR chassis. The classic Tamiya Monster Beetle is an iconic RC kit and this version takes the classic body, shrinks it to a smaller scale, and mounts it on a variant GF-01 chassis called the GF-01TR. The GF-01TR fits the gear-driven GF-01 chassis with reduction gears, also known as portal axles. This modification allows the hobbyist to better transverse trail terrain as it lifts the bottom of the chassis to better clear obstacles that could high centre the vehicle and render it stuck. No word yet on a release date but as the box art seems pretty much done the kit should hit stores in the near future.

Axial have introduced their new 1/24 scale SCX24 Deadbolt 4WD RTR Rock Crawler. Hardly 200mm long the smaller sibling of the SCX10 II Deadbolt truck is ideal for both indoor and outdoor excursions thanks to plenty of steel components — from the C-channel frame rails to the front and rear axles and dogbones. Even over off-road, mountainous, rocky and desert terrain, it has the strength to keep pushing onward and upward. For the most reliable handling, the SCX24 chassis features a three-link front and four-link rear suspension. The combination of coil-over shocks and durable plastic suspension links delivers Axial-worthy crawling performance even at this small scale. The worm gear drive setup permits a high ground clearance plus a low gear ratio that reduces torque twist. Powered by an included 180-size motor and LiPo battery, the vehicle shows off competence and charisma on the trails. The Deadbolt body offers a narrow stance, bulging hood, realistic driver figure, and moulded roll cage with realistic light bar. The realism continues right down to the ground with licensed KMC XD229 Machete Crawl wheels wrapped in Nitto Trail Grappler tires. Adding even more to its beginner appeal, the SCX24 Deadbolt comes 100 percent complete and ready to run. Everything required for action is in the box: the assembled and finished vehicle, an Axial 2-channel 2.4GHz radio system with servo and ESC/receiver unit, the Dynamite 88T brushed electric motor and 350mAh 2S 7.4V LiPo battery, as well as an USB LiPo charger; and even four AA cells for the transmitter.

Coming from RPM and made for the Arrma Typhon 4×4 3S BLX is a set of replacement rear A-arms. RPM’s versions are more adjustable, more durable and 5g lighter than stock. The designers added a second shock mount to the outside of the original stock shock mount, adding adjustability and improving trackability. The outer shock mount lowers the ride height, increasing stability on all surface types. A lower ride height also means faster corner speeds. Moulded from engineering grade nylons, the arms are a lot more durable than the standard parts with the redesigned shape of the A-arms helping improve survivability during severe bashing. The rear arms come in sets of two and they are a direct fit.

On show during this week’s Shizuoka Hobby Show is Tamiya’s forthcoming Lunch Box Mini truck on the all-new SW-01 chassis. Resembling the iconic 1/10th scale Lunch Box 2WD monster truck, the 1/24th scale Mini variant comes on a newly developed stunt-type chassis that is usable both indoors and outdoors. To make for a more agile handling the truck will lean in corners which should also add to the overall appearance when running the palm-sized truck. No mention of a release date yet.
