Team Associated CR12 Tioga 1/12th scale trail truck

Team Associated have introduced the CR12 Tioga 1/12th scale trail truck, the latest in AE’s line of CR12 series ready-to-run vehicles. The 4×4 rig comes RTR with Reedy Power electronics and meets S.O.R.R.C.A. class 1 and 2 rules right out of the box. No need to prep or build your rig; just charge it and you’re ready to hit the trails. Designed not only for scale looks with realistic wheels, tires and body, the CR12 is built for performance as well. The steel ladder frame chassis provides the perfect backbone for this rugged rig. The 4-link suspension, threaded shocks, and soft rubber tires give the grip and performance needed to climb over the roughest terrain. Transferring power to the rocks is a compact 3-gear transmission, plastic low-friction slider-type drive shafts, front steel CVA axles, and metal-shield ball bearings. The truck is rounded out by a molded rear cage with hinged body mount.

Pro-Line X-Maxx Pro-arms & Pro-Hubs

Coming from Pro-Line and made for the Traxxas X-Maxx are the new Pro-Arms upper and lower arm kit as well as the Pro-Hubs rear uprights. Starting with the arm kit, the US-made kit includes cutting edge race-style black arms with smooth bottoms that are capped off with stone gray stiffening plates resulting in extremely durable and rigid arms. The arm plates are held on by multiple flat head screws and the stone gray colour is the exact same as Pro-Line’s Impulse Pro-Loc wheel rings so they can be dyed or painted to match the truck’s style. The Pro-Arms are direct replacements for the stock X-MAXX arms and are designed from the ground up to be nearly indestructible. Each arm kit includes a set of two upper and lower arms along with the stone gray plates and hardware. The Pro-Arms are cored out from the top to save weight and the arm plates keep dirt, mud and debris out of the arms.

Pro-Line 2.8”LP stadium truck tyres

Coming for trucks such as the Traxxas Rustler 2WD or 4×4 are three new specialised 2.8” tyres from Pro-Line. Starting with the Trencher LP 2.8” all-terrain tyre, the tread is ideal when running in loose or hard-packed dirt, sand, snow, street or gravel conditions. The Trencher LP 2.8” is a direct replacement tyre and will fit on any 2.8” wheels including all of Pro-Line’s 2.8” wheel options. The Trencher tread was designed to have ultimate traction combined with long-lasting durability. Each tyre lug is shaped to dig into whatever surface modellers are running on and is ultra-thick so that it is extremely durable. Next up is the Sand Paw LP 2.8” tyre. There is nothing like the rush of ripping through the sand dunes or shredding the fresh powdery snow with a high-powered truck. Usual tyres will just slip around in the sand and snow, but the Sand Paw LP tyre will grip, rip and roost. The 2.8” tyre will fit most 2.8” wheels. Last but not least comes the Street Fighter LP 2.8” tyre that has the perfect balance of G force enhancement and style that will keep the truck turning heads. The Street Fighter LP 2.8” is a direct replacement tyre and will fit on any 2.8” wheels including all of Pro-Line’s 2.8” wheel options.

Axial 1/18 Yeti Jr Can-Am Maverick X3 T 4WD

Horizon Hobby have introduced the new 1/18th scale Yeti Jr Can-Am Maverick X3 T 4WD brushed RTR off-road vehicle. The Yeti Jr RTR takes everything modellers admire about the 1/10th scale Yeti chassis and shrinks it down to 1/18 scale – then tops it off with a licensed Can-Am Maverick X3 body for a fun 4WD that anyone can handle. Out of the box, this tiny terror is ready for scale adventures. Before the Yeti, the only place to find an independent suspension with floating solid rear axle was in full-size off-road vehicles. Axial carried its advantages over into RC rock racers and crawlers. The suspension design give the Yeti Jr responsive handling, increased clearance, and improved stability at high speeds. Its included 380-size motor adds the perfect amount of speed and torque, controlled by the Maxxis Bighorn 2.0 radial tires, the Spektrum brushed speed controller and the Spektrum STX2 transmitter. The package is rounded out by a 7.2V 1300mAh NiMH battery pack, a USB charger and AA batteries for the transmitter, making the vehicle a true ready-to-run kit.
