JConcepts Fuzz Bite/Pin Swag Wide 2WD front tyres

JConcepts has released both its Fuzz Bite and Pin Swag front tyres in a new wide option.  Always looking to improve, the R&D team focused on something that is not currently available, a wide 2wd front to fit a standard width from wheel.  The result, a wider contact patch, smoother drive, and peak performing stability.  The already proven Fuzz Bite alternating rows of pins provides side-bite, top steering response and the tightness of the package creates a nimble racing vehicle.  The wide carcass allows the Pin Swag to mount on standard width 2wd front wheels and provides a large contact patch in the front. In between, a stagger section with angular front is placed just behind a vertical rib to complete the design.

Balestri holds provisional TQ at 1:8 Onroad Euros

Dario Balestri holds the provisional TQ at the EFRA 1:8 Onroad European Championship, the Infinity driver setting the fastest time in the second of the two heats that made up Day 1 of the qualifying at the Vila Real track in Portugal.  In the opening qualifier it was Capricorn’s Toni Gruber who set the TQ pace, the newly crown 1:10 Nitro European Champion fastest from Balestri and Jilles Groskamp.  Having topped seeding practice and crowned European Champion the last time Vila Real hosted the European Championships in 2012, Mugen’s Robert Pietsch wouldn’t complete Q1 but was right in the mix in Q2 with Balestri just getting the better of the German on the final lap to snatch the TQ by 3/10ths of a second with Gruber third.  For defending Champion Dominic Greiner, he finds himself P5 overnight behind Groskamp with Mirko Salemi completing the provisional Top 6.  With the 21st running of the EFRA European Championships attracting 72 entries, drivers have three more rounds of qualifying tomorrow.

Infinity IF14-2 FWD RS

Creation Model released an updated version of its Infinity front wheel drive 1:10 Electric Touring Car, the IF14-2 FWD RS.  The USP2 shocks from the IF14-2 Team Edition are now standard items, further lowering the centre of gravity and improving handling.  The drivetrain also features an aluminium differential outdrive and lightweight D.J. CVD joints as standard equipment for lighter weight and superior throttle response.  With a FWD chassis there is no need for a rear differential, so the IF14-2FWD RS features a rear bulkhead specifically designed for the FWD platform. This results in fewer parts for easier maintenance.  New RS-specific design is compatible with USP2 shocks.  The proven suspension geometry provides stable grip and traction regardless of track conditions.
