Novarossi just released this teaser for the forthcoming line of Live Range nitro engines. The engines will hit the stores in January and, by the looks of things, may include .21 off-road and on-road as well as .12 on-road engines. Xray introduce this chassis weight set for the XB4 line of 1/10th buggies. Included are two 20g brass weights and suitable hardware to mount the weights in pre-shaped pockets right behind the LiPo battery packs. Adding weight in this position adds stability and traction and the parts fit both the XB4 4WD and 2WD buggy.

New from Revolution Design Racing Products comes the battery holder plate set for the Kyosho RB6 buggy. The set includes a battery hold down plate cut from high-quality carbon fibre as well as a 7075-T6 aluminium mounting plate. The latter comes black anodised and laser-etched, as usual with RDRP parts. The set is suitable for mid and rear motor buggies as well as all battery layouts including 2S shorty, stick and saddle packs. The parts offer a higher rigidity and increased looks over the stock moulded plastic braces and should also fit the new RT6 truck.

The recent TamTam Grand Prix took place at the TamTam Gifu Branch race track in Japan. In the 20 minute final KM team drivers Fukuda and Shimazaki battled each other after the latter had to go all the way from the D-main into the A after a troubled qualification. In the end Shimazaki was able to build a comfortable lead and take the win in his last race of the year.

Social Media is one of those things that has transformed the world in the last few years. It’s now easier than ever to interact with people around the globe and provide instant access for your views or thoughts. I think it’s fair to say that it has taken the RC industry a little time to catch up with the rest of the world in adopting the likes of Facebook and Twitter as key news sources. But, it does appear that many companies and drivers are jumping on board and using those outlets to promote products, events, results and, crucially interact with fans.

The third round of the Mibosport Cup 2013/14 was held in Hrotovice last weekend. In the Touring Car Modified class, even with a little mistake in the first qualifying, Zdenko Kunák took the TQ ahead of Kuba Šimurda and David Nemček. Jaroslav Kopecký and Tomáš Marek completed the top 5. With a comfortable pace, Zdenko Kunák won the first A-final, making his way to the overall victory. The second A-final was better balanced – only a second separated Zdenko Kunák and Kuba Šimurda. With this tight win, Zdenko Kunák (Yokomo) secured the overall first place. The third A-final was won Kuba Šimurda (Xray) which meant second place overall with David Nemček (Xray) completing the podium.
