Hudy’s Body Fix bodyshell repair glue is a specially formulated adhesive that reinforces polycarbonate bodyshells. Applied to highly stressed areas such as the front lid and bumper, wheel arches and body stay holes it prevents the polycarbonate from becoming cracked and the glue also holds existing splits together extending the lifespan of the body.

RB introduce the new RB E One-R 1/8th electric off-road buggy. Based on the proven E One the kit features many of RB’s latest option parts for the One platform. Therefore included are a hard-coated 7075-T6 aluminium chassis plate with new dual rear chassis braces, rubber sealed bearings, helical cut transmission gears, CVD driveshafts, a dual 2S LiPo battery tray and CNC-machined differential outdrives. Other new features include a revised steering assembly, front and rear carbon fibre shock towers as well as serrated wheel nuts and a new motor mount for easier gear mesh adjustment.

The 2013 Ecuadorian off-road championships went to Pablo Cobos (Serpent/Novarossi), who won the buggy class while his Serpent teammate Raul Gomez brought home the truggy title. Marco Grijalva secured himself the vice championship in both the buggy and truggy class while Alejandro Campana (Serpent/Novarossi) completed the podium in the buggy class. Helmut Baldus (Kyosho/Novarossi) came in 3rd in the truggy class.

RPM soon have front lower A-arms for the Team Associated B44 series of buggies available. They are moulded from RPM’s renown nylon material and are of a revised design making for less slop in the hinge pin area for precise camber, castor and toe settings, while offering added overall strength at the same time. The new design also does away with the moulded-on anti-roll bar ball joints in favour of optional 4.3mm balls, again to improve precision of the suspension system. The A-arms are a direct fit on all B44 buggies including the B44.1 and B44.2 and they will hit the stores by mid-January.

RS5 Motorsport introduce the RS5 T14 1/5th scale touring car kit. The follow-up model of the 3-times EFRA European championship winning platform received many new parts such as new brake callipers for improved brake efficiency, redesigned steering knuckles with improved Ackermann settings, new rear lower wishbones, new anti-roll bars and redesigned ball joints for improved performance and durability as well as new hardcoated modul 1 drivetrain gears for a more efficient transmission. Other new features include revised diff carriers and rear track rods, a new top deck and fuel tank, revised chassis cutouts for a wider range of chassis flex options as well as new brake master cylinders, a new servo tray, new servo arms and many other detail improvements such as servo wire routing channels, a new front bumper, updated shock absorbers and more.

HPI introduce the 2014 Baja 5B SS large scale gas off-road buggy. The latest incarnation of HPI’S iconic 1/5th scale kit features many performance and durability enhancing features such as new heavy-duty aluminium front wheel hubs, an aluminium tuned pipe with steel header, 1-piece rear hub carriers and super heavy duty driveshafts, diff shafts and axles. All of the above adds to the already included options parts and accessories such as a 26cc gas engine, 8000 RPM clutch, sway bars, alloy diff case, a pre-cut clear body, SFL-10 metal gear steering servo and the gunmetal anodised main chassis. The Hobbywing Asia Open took place in Guangzhou, China and in the Modified class it was Fai Ho (Serpent) who won on front of Andy Moore (Hot Bodies) and Atsushi Hara, who was driving a VBC chassis at this event. Due to massive rain the organisers had to cancel the finals and used the three qualifying rounds to determine the winner.

The CARTT Christmas Cup was held at the Fuencarral track in Madrid, Spain. 102 drivers filled the only class at this event, 1/8th off-road buggy. In the 30 minute final, run in dry and slippery conditions, SWorkz’ Alberto Garcia came in 1 lap ahead of Daniel Pariente, followed by Oscar Navarro, who completed the podium another lap down. Chema Casado Gil and Janma Guileen came in 4th and 5th respectively.
