PSM TLR 8IGHT X/E 2.0 centre diff. brace

PSM has developed a centre diff. brace for the TLR 8IGHT X/E 2.0 kit. Made from 3.0mm genuine PSM carbon fibre, the design provides additional rigidity to the whole centre differential unit – compared to the stock plastic part – and adds that factory look as well. To highlight the German origin of the parts, they have recessed a thin silver coloured brass emblem with the PSM logo in the middle of the part. In addition to that, this set includes hardware for routing your power wires below the front differential outdrive which helps to get the weight of the wires down to the lowest point of the vehicle and also give a super clean look.

Avid AE 2.0 & 2.5mm thick 13mm Pistons

Avid Racing Concepts has introduced new machined 13mm pistons for the new Team Associated’s 13mm shocks in two, 2.0mm and 2.5mm, thickness. They offer a conventional setup but with a perfectly machined round piston and square 90° edges for a tight-fitting piston that has little blow-by creating more pack on jumps. The AE piston has a slightly rounded outer edge and the holes are chamfered which results in harder landings. Over the years Avid have developed a process of keeping all the edges sharp with little to no burrs to keep your confidence high when landing big jumps. The 2.0mm thickness allows the piston to be smoother in bumps but at the cost of bottoming out on big jumps, for those use our 2.5mm thick pistons. Each piston a single dimple if you want to add a small 1.0mm bleeder hole to give the car more bite on slow corners (Blank pistons include 4 dimples.). Each package includes 2 pistons inside a Doodad container printed with AVID logo.

Gil Losi Snr – RIP

It is with sadness that we report the death of one of the great pioneers of RC racing, Gil Losi Snr.  Gil Snr was one of the founders of Team Losi Racing, a company that would become an iconic manufacturer in the world of RC racing.  It all started in the 80’s with their first product, a 64 pitch spur gear, and as they say ‘the rest is history’.  Gil Snr (pictured with the late Brian Kinwald) also played a huge part in the careers of some of the sport’s biggest names with Adam Drake one of those to quickly pay tribute to Gil “Pops” Losi.  Drake posted on his social media, ‘It’s incredibly difficult to process the news about Gil “Pops” Losi. Pops was one of the most kind, passionate, and caring people I’ve ever met. He gave me an opportunity at a very young age to represent his brand and eventually move to California to start my career in the R/C industry. I’m so grateful for the time I was able to have spent with Pops over the years at the races, working together, and at BBQ’s. I’ll always remember the good times and your passion for cars, racing, family.  Red RC would like extend our condolences to the Losi family – RIP Gil.
