STRC CNC machined option parts for Axial

ST Racing Concepts is bringing their years of experience in producing high quality and budget friendly option parts to a new line of Axial SCX24 option parts that marks their first entry into the mini/micro crawler segment. The CNC Machined Aluminium Motor Plate for the SCX24 features a large built in heatsink that helps draw heat away from the motor to keep the motor running strong. The CNC Machined Brass diff cover helps add more weight to the lower parts of the SCX24. To maintain the precision of the bearing fitment in the diff cover, the bearing holes are drilled after all finishing process have been done to achieve tight tolerance. The Rear Brass Axle Truss upper link mount also help add a bit more weight to anchor the rear of the SCX24 during climbs and providing more durability as well.

Clean sweep for Orlowski at British Nationals finale

Michal Orlowski wrapped up the British 1:10 Offroad National Championships in style over the weekend when he completed a clean sweep at the season finale at Robin Hood Raceway.  With both title’s having been decided at the previous encounter, Orlowski claiming the 4WD title and Associated’s Neil Cragg the 2WD crown,  it didn’t deter the Polish driver from adding to his season’s winning tally.  On Saturday the factory Schumacher driver secured the TQ before going on to take win number 3 of the season ahead of team-mate Josh Holdsworth with the Associated of Tommy Hall third.  Sunday was to be a repeat performance in 4WD.  While Yokomo’s Lee Martin topped Q1, Orlowski would go fastest in the next 3 rounds of qualifying.  From the TQ, the former European Champion won all three A-Mains for another Schumacher 1,2, Ben Smith finishing 2nd, with Martin completing the Round 6 podium.

Greiner takes ENS title with season finale victory

Dominic Greiner’s winning streak continued this weekend as the factory Capricorn driver added the ENS title to his tally with victory at Apeldoorn in the Netherlands.  Qualifying 3rd for the fourth & final round of the series, Greiner would added his second win of the season with a very close victory over title rival Simon Kurzbuch (Shepherd).  Both would end the 1:8 series standings on equal points but with 2 wins compared to Kurzbuch’s single victory at ENS Germany, it was Greiner who takes the championship to add to the European and German National title he lifted over the previous two weekends. With the Top 2 separated by 7/10th of a second, the podium in Apeldoorn was completed by Top Qualifier Toni Gruber (Shepherd) who finishes the season 3rd in the standings.  In 1:10, and with the title having already been decided, it was a victory lap weekend for new Champion Jilles Groskamp (Infinity) as he took the win from pole position ahead of the only other winner this season Melvin Diekmann (Capricorn).  Milan Holthuis (Infinity) completed the Round 4 podium, the podium order the same as how the drivers ended up in the final championship standings.

Xray all new NT1‘23

Xray have today unveiled the 2023 edition of their 1:10 nitro touring car chassis the NT1. A big year for the nitro touring car class with the World Championship coming up in November in Thailand, the car features an all-new chassis with narrowed front suspension pivots to increase stability & traction. Hard composite suspension arms combined with the improved central chassis flex keeps the suspension geometry stable while the flex is transferred through chassis and radio plate to maintain traction. Lower down-stop mounting holders without the eccentric geometry make the car easier to set suspension down-stops. All-new front aluminium bulkheads accommodate new upper arm holder with adjustable flex. The redesigned front upper arm holder features new roll centre positions in all 9 positions. An ultra-compact and super lightweight receiver box moves the weight lower and closer to the centre of the chassis. The radio plate has new servo holders that move the throttle servo more rearwards, the steering servo more frontwards and receiver box to a more central location. A simplified aluminium 2-speed shaft holders eliminate unnecessary braces to make the chassis more flexible, while the wider positioning provide improved support for the 2 speed shaft. New rear aluminium bulkheads have a 2mm front/rear wheelbase adjustment for easy traction tuning depending on the track conditions, front position more traction, rear position more stability. Longer rear suspension pins allow a wide range of wheelbase adjustment.

Italian company Fenix Racing has released the latest bodyshell in their line-up of classic F1 recreations, the Renault RS10. In 2020, when they released their Ferrari T4, quite a lot of people start to ask for a proper counterpart, to be able to relive one of the greatest wheel fights ever in F1 history, if not the greatest one.  There are several other reason why the 1979 France Gp was so special! It was the first F1 Renault Turbo victory and French driver Jean-Pierre Jabouille was celebrating his maiden victory at his home GP. The body is moulded from high-quality polycarbonate material, it fits Fenix F1-70 and all Tamiya F103 and F104W style chassis, besides others.
