Team Magic 1/10 E4JR RTR

Team Magic have extended their product range even further with the release of the E4JR electric touring car chassis, a 95% pre-built, ready-to-run electric touring car which focuses on price and performance. No longer can you consider a chassis manufactured from plastic, instead of carbon fibre, a low spec product when it features such high quality components and features. HARD X3 Electric Stock motor

H.A.R.D. have released this new X3 stock electric motor, which has been engineered to exceed the standard performance of other kit motors. This 540 size brushed stock motor was created to provide unmatched power right out of the box and sports a beefy 18 turn armature. Unlike other entry level motors, the X3 features an internal cooling fan to remove heat, which helps improve performance as well as extending the life of the motor.

Talywain Nationals report by oOple

oOple has the report from the 3rd round of the BRCA 1/10th National series, that was held recently at Talywain, Wales with the club putting on a good all-grass track with plenty of man-made obstacles to navigate. Darren Bloomfield was making a return to 1/10th off road after missing the first two rounds of the championship due to 1/8th buggy commitments. Darren, being the reigning 2WD National champion didn’t seem to be too concerned with his lack of practice – taking The TQ and a hard-fought win. The 4WD class wasn’t quite so straight forward for Darren, with only two finishes from the four qualifiers he only lined up 4th on the grid. Ellis Stafford, double-winner at the previous round was on pole and looked devastatingly quick. It was Darrens day however and he took the last two legs of the A final to secure a fantastic double victory to mark his return to the class.

Surikarn joins Speed Passion

Surikarn Chaidajsuriya joins Speed Passion

Speed Passion have been in touch to tell us the exciting news that 2002 IFMAR World Champion Surikarn Chaidajsuriya has joined their team. Surikarn will be using the Competition version 2.0 motor series as well as other optional brushless equipment to power his Hot Bodies Cyclone. This is another important signing for Speed Passion in this World Championship year, which sees the Thai driver join recently confirmed racers, Jilles Groskamp and Viktor Wilck.

Chris Grainger wins Rd2 BRCA Nationals

The 2nd round of the BRCA British Nationals were held at the weekend at the Cotswolds track in Gloucestershire. Qualifying saw complete domination by Yokomo racer, and current National Champion, Chris Grainger who won all of his heats to take an unchallenged pole position from Xray racer Ben Cosgrove in 2nd and Hot Bodies driver Olly Jefferies in 3rd. The finals saw more of the same from Grainger, who took the win in all 3 legs of the A-main to take the overall from Ben Cosgrove, who kept his head down to take the runner up spot ahead of Euros Warmup winner Elliot Harper in 3rd.

Jay Westwood Joins Schumacher

Schumacher have announced that front running UK Pro Stock racer Jay Westwood has joined their team. Jay just completed the 2nd round of the BRCA Championships at the Cotswolds club last weekend and put in a solid top ten finish after only receiving his car on the Thursday before the race. Jay now sits 5th in the Pro Stock National Championship standings, with Schumacher Mi3 cars holding 4 out of the top 5 positions with two races left to complete.

Predator X11 Big Bore shocks

Our mates over at oOple have the first information on the new ‘big bore’ shock absorbers from Team Extreme, manufacturers of the Predator X11 4WD electric buggy, who brought some of the first production examples to the recent Talywain BRCA National. Nathan Ralls has been testing the shocks behind closed doors for a while now, but has finally started to race the car in public – first time out at the recent South East regional, and a win for the new X11 driver with these new shocks. The new shock absorbers are the same length but Team Xtreme have maxxed out the diameter to the limits of what would fit within the existing range of springs.
