Chaussard wins 1/10 French Nats Rd3
Last weekend saw the third round of the French 1/10th scale Nationals run at the 330m long AMCO track in Brest, in the very North West tip of France. Qualifying for the National class saw Kyosho racer Romain Jaureguy claim the pole position from Maxime Favrelle in 2nd and Frédéric Bourillon in 3rd, while in the Elite class it was round 2 winner Arnaud Chaussard on the top spot, putting his NT1 in front of team mates Thomas Eytard and Basile Concialdi. The National final saw a good start for the pole man Jaureguy but he dropped back early on and this left Maxime Favrelle in the lead for the majority of the race until his tyres went away near the very end and he was passed by eventual winner Frédéric Bourillon, leavin Favrelle in 2nd at the flag and Alexandre Basset in 3rd. In the Elite final, the race was dominated by Chaussard, who got into the lead and stayed there for the entire race while behind, the Serpent driver Michaël Derderian got passed Mickael Pontal who had a servo failure, and took the runner spot in the race 2 laps ahead of Mathieu Wullyamoz in 3rd.
