Novak HV BL Motor with 5mm Shaft

Novak have released some additions to their range of HV High Voltage brushless motors, with the introduction of these 5mm shaft versions. These 550-size sensored brushless motors are available in four motor winds 4.5, 5.5, 6.5 and 7.5, and include a Sintered rotor with a rugged 5mm output shaft. Losi Nitrotec Spray Cleaner

Losi Nitrotec Spray Cleaner

Losi have released their Nitrotec Spray Cleaner, which they claim is the quickest and safest method for cleaning any nitro RC car or truck. The specialized formula quickly loosens and removes unwanted dirt, grease and debris, evaporates quickly leaving no harmful residue and is safe on most plastics including Lexan. Used by top team racers to clean fuel residue, dust, dirt, grease and any unwanted contamination from all static and moving parts, Nitrotec features a handy pistol type spray nozzle that allows you to concentrate the cleaning blast precisely where you need it, thus preventing waste and saving money. The concentrated, pressurized spray easily cleans ball bearings, silicone oil from shocks and differentials and grime from almost any part used on an RC car.

Atsushi Hara rejoining Team Orion?

Atsushi Hara rejoining Team Orion?

Seen in the pits at this weekend’s Worlds Warm-up race in Thailand, is Atsushi Hara testing what looks like the new Team Orion Vortex motor in his Hot Bodies Cyclone. The former World Champion left the Swiss company at the end of 2006 to join Team Checkpoint, but the US company appears to have done little in the way of development in recent times and this appears to have left the Japanese driver looking for alternatives. Also spotted on Hara’s workbench are some Team Orion cells, and this new combination seems to be working as he is currently fastest after today’s controlled practice although we dont know if he will run with this motor in qualifying.
