Watanabe joins Roche

Roche has announced that 2024 1:12 Japanese National Championship podium finisher Shota Watanabe will race their newly released Rapide P12V2 in coming years.  Working with the World Champion & reigning Japanese National Champion manufacturer and the Kimihiko Yano Japan team on testing, the former Yokomo driver will represent the team at the 2026 IFMAR World Championships in China.  Celebrating his 26th birthday today, on the announcement Watanabe said, ‘I will be working with Team ROCHE on 1/12 pan car!  I will do my best to bring out the performance of car. I would also like to thank Max and Yano for giving me this opportunity.’

JC Racing Products JC10 Carbon Fibre

British company JC Racing Products has announced the launch of their JC10 Carbon Fibre as a kit.  Designed and developed from the RPM long arm RC10 conversions used back in the late 1980s and early 90s.  Not very popular back then but hugely popular now for the modern-day tracks and conditions.  The JC10 Carbon Fibre is available in two classic finishes: Black and Ivory.  JC Racing Products will also offer a range of motor plate colour options, allowing you to personalise your setup to match your style.

Xray XB2 Composite Gear Boxes

Xray has added the option of a Composite Gear Box for its XB2 1:10 2WD Buggy.  Available for both the 3 or 5 gear set-up, they are molded from specially-formulated graphite composite material and are lighter and stronger that the standard version.  All parts fit perfectly together, and the super-easy access to the rear differential will be appreciated by every racer.  The durable gear box houses the differential and rear transmission and allows the mounting of the rear roll center holder, motor plate, and rear shock tower.

Hudy Shock Length Adjustment Pliers

Hudy has released new aluminium Shock Length Adjustment Pliers intended for the adjustment of the shock length settings on 1:10 touring car shock absorbers.  The pliers helps to hold the shock shaft without scratching or damaging the parts allowing for perfect setting and adjustments of the shock lengths.  Specifically compatible with Xray’s XLP2 shocks, as well as other modern 1:10 touring car shocks which are in the same length range, which is 7.0-9.0mm of distance between the shock body and the lower ball cup.  Machined from Swiss 7075 T6 aluminium and hardcoated for rigidity & wear resistance.

Blitz RS4 | RS5 1:10 190mm Touring Car Bodies

Body shell producer Blitz has released two new 1:10 190mm competition touring car body shells in the form of the RS4 and RS5.  The RS4 (red paint scheme) has one more rear wing tower in the centre which helps to increase the rear stability without losing top speed.  Following the latest GBS body rule it is homologated with number EFRA 4097.  The RS5 body (blue paint scheme) is designed with 2 rear body tower, and compared with RS4 body the RS5 body is wider and longer making it more stable and more easy to drive especially on the indoor carpet tracks.  Each body is offered in 3 different thicknesses of polycarbonate.  The lightest is 0.4mm, is recommended for use at a high traction track can make the car chance to traction roll.  A 0.5mm version works in all conditions because the body shell is harder so it can transfer more downforce into the chassis and increase overall traction and is recommended for medium to low traction.  The 0.7mm option is heavy and strong, and it is recommended for drivers who want a very stable handling and long-lasting body shell.

Jacinto defends 1:10 4WD Philippine National title

Sworkz driver Dino Jacinto has successfully defended his 1:10 4WD Buggy Philippine National Championship title.  Racing at the newly renovated Circulo Verde track in Manila, home to Asia’s biggest annual 1:8 Offroad race the Philippine Masters, the National Championship race was for the 2024 title which due to bad weather late last year had to be rescheduled into 2025.  Attracting over 80 entries, the competition was fierce, but in the end, it was Jacinto, from second on the grid, who secured back-to-back national titles with his S14-4D winning the opening two A-Main encounters.

JConcepts XB8’25 P2 Body

JConcepts has released its P2 body shell for the Xray XB8’25 1:8 Buggy platform with new Xray team signing and JConcepts team driver Dakotah Phend having tested the body at the Southern Indoor Championships.  The P2 design debuted in 1:8 at the last year’s Mugen Challenge and was then used at IFMAR 1:8 Offroad World Championship in Spain, having originally been created for the 1:10 racing.  Key features of the P2 design are a tall stabilising fin on the rear of the body as well as a small mini fin placed behind the rear of the cab that does not interfere with the engine head.  In the rear, the ramping feature that is so popular on the P2, creeps up behind the cab and engine head to create extra force and stability.  The P2 is offered in both standard and lightweight options and each arrives as clear polycarbonate with protective film.

Fenix Racing G56.2 upgrades

Italy’s Fenix Racing has released a number of new upgrades for its G56.2 Pro10 chassis.  The front end parts include a new -3mm narrow front end and a new front brace for the standard front end. They have also produced a ‘Standard’ width front end able to carry 1:12 micro servo between the steering assembly and offer that in a -3mm option too. Both plates are drilled for the popular 1:12 servo, such as the PowerHd M8 and Sanwa PSG Hr.  For those who like the Awesomatix steering systems, Fenix has released new front arms able to carry the Awesomatix steering system using parts from an A12.
