Ultimate Racing Light BS Wheel Nuts

Ultimate Racing have released new lightweight, machined 7075-T6 Swiss aluminium, covered wheel nuts. Incorporating a special block system that uses a silicone O-ring to prevent the nuts coming loose from the wheel hub, they sport a new covered design meaning the wheel hub is always protected against dirt and collision damage. Available in blue, purple, black and gold with different threads for different cars, the face of the hubcaps features the Ultimate Racing logo.

Team Associated have released this hooded sweater for those racers who want to be part of the team but its too cold to just wear the t-shirt. Spotted at the DHI Cup on the back of some team drivers, this hoodie has been made from black cotton and features the same AE logo front print as on their most recent t-shirts. The rear sports the Factory team logo on the right shoulder with the rc10.com web address just below it and all designs have been screen printed. Available in the usual range of sizes.

Daniele Ielasi joins Shepherd Racing

Hoppe wins 1:12 German North regional

Hoppe wins 1:12 German North regional

The 2nd round of the Northern Germany Regional championships for 1/12th scale was held recently at the indoor track in Brunswick. In the modified class it was a strong performance for Lars Hoppe, who took the race win from the pole position while in the Stock class it was his Corally team mate and good friend Jan Asmer that took the win. This victory in Mod gives Hoppe the overall Championship lead heading in to the 3rd round.

Mugen World Race ‘08 - Announcement

More race announcements, this time its for the Mugen World Race that will take place on the 20th – 22nd of June in Furulund, Sweden. This track has played host to the European and World Championships as well as other major races and this event is open to all makes of car and any racers that want to compete, with 120 entries open for the buggy class and 36 for the truggy class.

ROAR approve LiPo packs for racing

ROAR approve LiPo packs for racing

Some major changes of heart at ROAR following today’s confirmation by the US Governing body that lithium battery technology has been approved for use in ROAR sanctioned events. Essentially all 7.4v batteries in a hard case will be approved for use if they pass the safety tests, of which there are three, the most important is the overcharge test. They are now approved to be used in 6 cell, sub-C Ni-Cd and NiMH classes and must meet the current minimum weight requirement, which means racers will need to add weight to their cars.

Mugen Hex wrench set and nut spinner

Mugen Seiki in Japan have announced the release of new additions to the company’s line up of tools. First up is this complete set of Hex head wrenches, made up of 6 pieces it includes the previously available standard hex drivers in 1.5mm, 2.0mm, 2.5mm and 3.0mm as well as 2 ball hex wrenches in 2.0mm and 2.5mm. Also new is the addition of a 5.0mm nut spinner to their previously released range of spinners. All tools feature grey anodised handles with the Mugen Seiki logo engraved on the side.
