Medial Pro goes up for sale

Medial Pro goes up for sale

French tire brand Medial Pro have released a statement announcing that company founder and current owner Eric Bertrand has placed the company up for sale. With declining margins, increased costs to keep manufacturing in France and increased competition with lower priced tires that are being made in Asia, he has decided on this course of action. Having been around for almost 2 decades the company has won many major titles and still continues to make a quality product and hopefully when a new buyer is found, for which he already has some interested parties, the brand that was started in 1989 will continue to exist.

Thunder Tiger EB4 S3 RTR released

Thunder Tiger EB4 S3 RTR

Thunder Tiger have finally released their RTR version of the EB4 S3 1/8th scale buggy. We first wrote about the car back in July when our partners RC Mag got some pictures of the car after it showed up at a National race in France. The car, which is available in blue or orange finish, sports a number of innovative features including patented CVD drive shafts that somehow allow changes to be made to the suspension settings, while as per previous TTR cars the front shocks are mounted behind the shock tower for protection in the event of a crash. The car sports aluminium in the place of carbon fibre as per the pro version, but is very well equipped and comes with a pull start .28 motor for power and durability.

Paul LeMieux wins Midwest Series

Paul LeMieux wins Midwest Series

Xray have a report from their team driver Paul LeMieux on the sixth and final race of the Midwest series, which was held in Toledo, Ohio recently. After 4 rounds of qualifying it was LeMieux who was on the pole position with the NT1, ahead of Andy Powers in 2nd and Chris Doseck in 3rd, the latter having ran out of fuel on his final and potentially fastest run. In the finals it was Paul and Andy that could pull away from the pack at the start with Chris settling in to 3rd but after some time Andy started to fall back into the clutches of Doseck, who managed to get passed into 2nd and was able to go after his team mate LeMieux. Bad luck for Chris however who flamed out after a coming together with a marshall with 10 minutes to run, which dropped him down the order. In the end it was Paul LeMieux that took the win from Andy Powers in 2nd and Ira Schultz in 3rd, this win gave Paul the Midwest title with Doseck finishing as runner up in the standings.

Orcan Exhaust mount spring

Orcan Exhaust mount spring

German brand Orcan have released these handy and useful exhaust mounting springs. Sold with tubing and collar, they allow you to mount your exhaust floating, thus reducing damaging vibrations and preventing resonance at high rpm. With other exhaust pipe mounts you would tighten the pipe to the wire with a grub screw, while with this system the pipe is sitting freely between 2 pieces of fuel tubing, while a collar mounted to the end of the spring prevents the exhaust coming off.
