RC Atomic Mini-Z setup tools

RC Atomic, who we have written about before, have released these great setup tools for those Mini-Z racers who really take their racing seriously. First off there is this rather wicked looking carbon fiber setup board which has been mounted onto a very nice anodised aluminium base which comes in 4 different colours. They have also released a set of droop blocks, droop gauge and a ride height gauge to check the settings of your car.

Team Orion CRF Constant Pressure Device

Team Orion CRF Constant Pressure Device

Team Orion have shown this unique and rather innovative constant pressure device (CPD) on their stand at this weeks show in Germany. Created to solve engine tuning problems that arise when you switch from full throttle to low speed, high pressure generated from running at full throttle is still present and it is pushing fuel to the carburettor inlet even though the carburettor is closed. Because of this the mixture will become too rich, causing slower acceleration and wasting fuel. This device solves that.

The CRF CPD acting as a pressure valve system, effectively resolves this problem by regulating the amount of pressure going to the fuel tank. The valve allows a constant amount of pressure to be sent to the fuel tank, by opening or closing itself depending on the engine’s rotation speed.

The eagled eyed amongst you would have noticed this device on Adrien Bertins Kyosho from our photos yesterday.

Novarossi release bum bag

Novarossi bum bag

Novarossi make great engines but they also make some really cool merchandising too, some of which we have featured before. This new bum bag, or fanny pack for our US readers, comes in this very striking Novarossi blue and features the Novarossi logo on the front with red detailing around the mant storage pockets and thats pretty much it.

The new Crono RS7 buggy

Crono RS7

Last week we confused a spy shot of this new car for the new Associated RC8, but quickly retracted that conclusion after we realised it was actually a new Crono and so here it is, the new RS7. A pretty conventional 1/8th scale buggy from the looks of things but it does use ball joint suspension up front and this particular car has CVDs on all 4 corners.

Check out the full image set here and here to make up your own conclusions.

GRP Engine news – Mario Rossi tuned motors

Mario Rossi Ninja

Word of engine maestro Mario Rossi coming out with his own hand tuned range of GRP made motors came out about a week or so back and here we have the fruits of that partnership. The engine above is the new Falcon motor which has been given the Mario Rossi personal go fast treatment and topped off with this great looking magnesium coloured cooling head. He has also put his hand to the Ninja motors and an image of that can be seen below.

Xray NT1 first real picture

Xray NT1

I’m sorry for the 3 Xray posts in a row but they have some highly anticipated cars coming out and none more so than the all new Xray NT1 as seen above (click image for larger pic). This car has been majorly hyped and made its small time debut a few weeks back when it won a regional race on its first outing in Florida with the cars international debut comes in 2 weeks at the Florida Winternats. What about the car itself, well from what we can see it bears close similarities to the Mugen MTX and Kyosho RRR in looks at least, whilst the car itself looks pretty safe in design with no major, Team Magic style, innovation. We hope to get more details and pics later.
