Hudy have introduced a new addition to their line up of ultra light aluminium pinion gears. Joining the 48P line-up is this 20T version. The high-strength pinion gears are made from tough 7075 T6 aluminium and specially hard coated for superior strength, light weight and high durability. Extremely machined for the lowest possible rotating mass yet maintaining the necessary strength.

Two new items from DeadFly for the Awesomatix MMX, the first is this I-Brace which is a centre line rear brace that alters the rotation characteristics of the car. Using both screws provides the most rear end stability and least steering. By using just one front screw and a set screw in the rear hole, the I-Brace gives a spring effect on the chassis. Allowing more steering and rotation, but with more rear stability than no brace at all. The other new items is a pair of balance weights for the front of the car. Weighing 13 grams each that are machined from 3mm brass and can help alter the balance of the car.
From AEA Performance comes their new 1/8 Vartax clutch system. This new clutch system uses 4 channels in the flywheel, along which weighted rollers run and engage the clutch plate. This gives you a very strong clutch engagement as well as consistent function throughout its use. The setting of the clutch can be changed through the use of different rollers as well as through the clutch spring itself. The flywheel as well as the clutch plate have been machined from high quality 7075 aluminium.

Orca have released their new ONPC non-polarity capacitor. Suitable for use in all categories, and all 1S & 2S ESC types from stock class to modified class, Orca’s ONPC is one of the smallest and lightest capacitors on the market now and balances size and performance together with high quality. With a size of 20.5mm x 16mm x 6.9mm and weighing just 7.4grams even with its aluminium case, it has a max voltage of 16V and a capacity of 1700uF.

Big news as Horizon Hobby, LLC has entered into an agreement to acquire the assets of AKA Products, Inc. Founded by Gil Losi Jr. and Joel Johnson in Temecula, California, AKA has been creating World-class products by World champions since 2006 and are in fact the current World Champions in 1/8th offroad. This acquisition follows last year’s purchase by Horizon Hobby of Pro-Line, meaning the company now owns two of the 3 major tire brands for offroad racing. “This agreement marks another pivotal moment in Horizon Hobby’s commitment to the RC community. AKA adds more world-class experience and products to Horizon Hobby’s Best Brands In RC” said Chris Dickerson, CEO of Horizon Hobby. The new motors continue to come from FX Engines with another new teaser, this time for the K303. Again we have little information to go on, however the name would suggest a follow up to the previous K302.1 3-port buggy engine, while the silhouette also points to a new cooling head. We will know more soon enough.

Roche are offering this limited edition version of their multi-functional aluminium tool stand with parts tray. The tool stand is machined from high grade aluminium with signature red/black two tone anodising. Sporting multiple machined holes for tools and smaller diameter holes to hold various equipment as well as the differential for rebuilding. The integrated parts tray help to organise hardware, such as blocks, gauge, oils, greases.
