Lee Setser sweeps JConcepts Super Cup Rd6

Round 6 of the JConcepts Super Cup was held at the Coral Springs RC track in Coral Springs, Florida. The event saw over 75 entries and in 2WD Mod Buggy it was Lee Setser with the overall TQ and win, some 14 seconds in front of Julien Oliveras. Jason Ruona came in 3rd overall, a further four seconds back to round out an all-Team-Associated top 3. Over in 4WD Mod Buggy it was again Lee Setser with the TQ and win as Julien Oliveras and Felix Law came in 2nd and 3rd respectively.

RC Atomic DRZV2 1/28th scale drift car chassis kit

Coming from RC Atomic is their new DRZV2 1/128th scale mini drift car kit. The V2 features several new parts such as a redesigned front bulkhead that optimises the chassis’ roll centre for a more responsive steering and better car control in long distance drifts. Also new is a single bellcrank steering assembly that is both precise and easy to assemble thanks to less parts involved. The chassis is 90mm to 98mm wheelbase adjustable with longer wheelbase settings for 1/24th scale body shells being accessible through option parts. Included in the kit are also new brass KPI front steering knuckles for maximised tyre grip in counter steering situations, new adjustable shock spring preload collars and height adjustable body mounts that support 0.5mm increments. An optional mono front damper system is available optionally for maximised steering throw. Not included in the chassis kit are electronics, tyres, wheels and body shell.

Alex Aroca wins at Spanish EP On-road Champs Rd1

Round 1 of the Spanish Electric On-road Championship was hosted by the ARCA club in Madrid last weekend in Touring Stock, Formula, and Tamiya Euro Stock Truck classes. In the Formula category it was Alex Aroca with the overall TQ after winning three of the five qualifying rounds. Miguel Fernandez came in 2nd, winning a single qualifier, as Jose Antonio De Lara came in 3rd on the grid, also TQing a single qualifying round. The triple A-mains saw a clean sweep of Alex who went on to win all three legs while Miguel Fernandez ended the day on the runner-up spot. The final podium spot was hard fought for with Jose Antonio De Lara, Francisco Macias and Pablo Martos all ending tie on points. Ultimately to was Jose Antonio who would hold the upper hand in the tie-breaker, snatching the final podium spot.

Xtreme Aerodynamics sign Dominic Greiner

Xtreme Aerodynamics have announced the addition of Germany’s Dominic Greiner to their racing team. The 2016 IFMAR World and reigning EFRA 1/10th Nitro Touring European Champion will be using the company’s popular body shells to deck out all of his Capricorn nitro and electric rides starting immediately.

John Holmes wins at PDMCC Summer Series Rd1

The Pendle & District Model Car Club in the UK held round 1 of their PDMCC HB Racing Summer Series last weekend. In the single Nitro Buggy class it was SWorkz’s David Crompton with the overall TQ from fellow SWorkz driver, John Holmes in 2nd. After the single 22-minute A-main event however, it was John Holmes with the win some five laps in front of Kevin Kitchen in 2nd place. Darren Moffat (SWorkz) came in 3rd overall and in front of David Crompton. Phil Lodge (JQRacing) and John Huyton (Xray) completed the top 6 result.

WRC Racing on-road body height adjusters

WRC Racing have announced the release of new body height adjusters for their 1/10th touring, formula and pan cars. Moulded from high-quality composite Tecnopolymer material the platforms allow for 0mm to 1.5mm height adjustments by simply lifting and rotating the platform clockwise or counter clockwise, ensuring precise control over the body height and rake which is essential for overall aerodynamic performance. The heigh adjusters come in sets of four.

NathoBuilds B6 series electronics plate & body saver

NathoBuilds have introduced two new 3-D-printed accessories for the Team Associated B6 series of vehicles in the form of an electronics plate and a rear body saver. Starting with the electronics plate, the part is a perfect way to mounting the electronics in a secure way while providing convenient installation and removal of the electronics for easy chassis cleaning. As for the body saver, the part fits the B6 to B6.2 vehicle and ensures longer lasting and more stable rear body mounting.
