Rinderknecht sweeps AE/Reedy Summer Series Rd2

The second round of the Team Associated & Reedy Summer Series was hosted by the Hobbyplex Raceway in Omaha, Nebraska this past weekend, attracting nearly 160 entries. The event was held in a multitude of 1/10th off-road classes and in the premier category of 2WD Mod Buggy it was Tom Rinderknecht (TLR) with the overall TQ from Alex Vanderbeek (Team Associated) in 2nd. The single 8-minute A-main would see Tom out front from tone-to-tone and he would take the win with a lap margin from Alex Vanderbeek in 2nd. Aidan Olson (TLR) came in 3rd overall, another 16 seconds back. 4WD Mod Buggy again saw Tom Rinderknecht leading the way as he took the overall TQ and win with Aidan Olson and Alex Vanderbeek coming in 2nd and 3rd respectively.

Jared Wiggins wins at LCRC Raceway Season Opener race

LCRC Raceway of Oakland Mills, Pennsylvania hosted their Season Opener race over the weekend, attracting nearly 300 entries. In the Nitro Truggy class Team Associated’s Jamie Grayek would take the overall TQ, however after the 15-minute main final it was 2nd place qualifier, Tekno RC’s Jared Wiggins with the win some 17 seconds in front of Jamie. Anthony Mazzara (Mugen) came in 3rd overall, another 3.5 seconds behind.

Joni Skidmore successful at NWN Summer Series Rd2

The second round of the North West Nitro Summer Series was held in Weeton, Blackpool this past weekend. Joni Skidmore would bring home the win for Mugen some 14 seconds in front his brother and fellow Mugen racer, William Skidmore. HB Racing’s Graham Alsop came in 3rd overall, a lap down.

Jesper Rasmussen TQs & wins at Odense club series Rd1

The Danish Odense RC Minirace club hosted round 1 of their popular club racing series this past weekend. In the combined Stock/FWD 17.5T JuStock class it was electric off-road ace, Jesper Rasmussen with the overall TQ after winning all three qualifying rounds. In the triple A-finals Jesper would hold onto the lead despite a hard charging field to take the win in front of Mads Koue in 2nd and Rasmus Andersen in 3rd.

Max Mächler TQs & wins at RCK Challenge

A round of the RCK Challenge Central/West Division was held at the recently renewed outdoor asphalt track of the DJK Andernach club. The event saw the running of four electric on-road classes and in Touring Super Stock it was Awesomatix’s own Max Mächler with the overall TQ after a clean sweep in all four qualifying rounds. The triple A-mains then again saw Max out in front and by winning A1 and A2 he grabbed the overall win with one leg to spare. A3 winner, Manuel Wagner (Xray) came in 2nd overall from Jill Bartsch (Awesomatix) in 3rd.

Frehner & Sidler win at Swiss EP Off-road Nats Rd2

The EMBCM club of Horgen, Switzerland hosted round 2 of the Swiss 1/10th Electric Off-road Nationals last weekend. The event kicked off with the 2WD Buggy class on Saturday with the race being held in challenging weather conditions. Fabian Luca Widmer snatched the TQ from young Kay Frehner (Team Associated), however the latter would take wins in A1 and A2 of the A-main to take the overall victory from Nico and Florian Schmid (both Xray) in 2nd and 3rd respectively.

Ryan Maifield TQs & wins at JBRL Nitro Series Rd2

Thunder Alley Raceway of Beaumont, California played host to round 2 of the JBRL Nitro Series this past weekend. The event attracted over 230 entries, including some of the country’s fastest off-road racers and several IFMAR World Champions, and in the premier class of Expert Nitro Buggy it was Mugen’s Ryan Maifield, 2017 IFMAR 2WD and 4WD Buggy World Champion, with the overall TQ from Spencer Rivkin, 2019 2WD World Champion, in 2nd. In the 15-minute A-main Ryan would lead from tone-to-tone while Spencer dropped back and only finished in 10th overall. Up front however, it was SWorkz’s Ryan Cavalieri, multi-times World Champion, who slowly worked his way up from P5 on the grid to take the runner-up spot some six seconds behind Maifield. 3rd place qualifier, Adam Drake (Mugen) came in 3rd overall to round out the podium a lap down.
