Xray T2’008 Exclusive first batch

Xray T2′008 Exclusive first batch

Along with announcing that the T2’008 190mm touring car is now shipping, Xray also announced that the first batch only will be supplied with aluminum externally-adjustable ball differentials. This is due to the fact that the mold for the new Composite Diffs was not finalized for mass production in time for the export of kits, and as such the first batch of kits feature this aluminum version. The US Foam-Spec edition features two alu ball differentials and the EU Rubber-Spec edition features the aluminum ball differential in rear only. Both kits include the appropriate amount of the new 3.5mm drive shaft composite blades.

Team Associated RC12L5 prototype

Team Associated 12L5 prototype

RC50.com are in Cleveland at the moment for the US Indoor Champs and have managed to bag themselves the exclusive first photos of the prototype RC12L5 from Team Associated. Featuring lots of one off parts, including a completely new front end, central shock absorber as well as new carbon and aluminium parts, it seems that this car is completely new. The rear end is now very different looking much stiffer than the RC12L4 and with space for a BL motor, while the T-bar configured chassis sports a single laterally mounted centre damper, in addition to the conventional inline shock absorber. The cells also now sit in line with the direction of the car, while there is so much new on the front end it is hard to pinpoint exactly what is different.

Diggity Designs have released their newest 1/12th kit, which has been based on the same race winning design as used in their previous 3D12 kit but then updated with new features. The main feature allows you to mount brushless ESC’s on the side of the chassis and install brushless motors without any wire problems and you can now also mount your electronics as far to the rear as possible. They have also widened the rear outer springs location to help with mounting brushless motors and to improve performance and stability.

CEFX C12 Phoenix 1/12th scale

CEFX C12 Brushless released

A while ago we showed you some CAD images from the new C12 1/12th scale from Josh Cyrul’s company CEFX, well it appears the car is now ready and here are some photos of the new car, the C12 Phoenix. This is the version for brushless motors, which as explained previously had to be made seperately from the original brushed motor version, as trying to make a car work for both motor types would mean too much of a compromise for both.

ALS Racing M242 1/24th scale

ALS Racing M242 1/24th scale

ALS Racing have released the first pictures of their new 1/24th scale chassis, called the M242. Designed specifically for use on carpet, the car is powered by 2 Lipo cells or 6 AAA cells and due to its design and construction, as well as newly designed ball differential, the car can achieve high cornering speeds and provide lots of racing fun. This micro scale seems to be garnering some interest from a number of manufacturers with the news that Serpent will release its own car into this class after the new car was spotted at the recent iHobby show in Chicago.

Corally Pro 10 and Formula cars

Corally Pro 10 and Formula cars

I saw pictures of this new Pro 10 from Corally a few days ago and originally thought it was an old car from a few years back but it appears to be new, with a number of sites picking up on it, and also the new Formula 1 chassis. No details are given on either car on the Corally site, but RC Car Action state that both chassis’ appear to have Titanium-fortified Dynamic Strut front ends, 1/12 scale-type rear pods, goo-tube roll dampers and mono-crank steering on the F1 car.
