More stuff from Shizuoka, this time its from Kawada who are showing their version of the Tamiya TA05 on their stand. Kawada recently showed a small pixelated CAD image of this car on their site, sparking some rumours of completely new car from them, but it turns out that it is only another conversion for the popular TA05 platform.

HPI / Hot Bodies are out in force at this weeks big hobby fair in Japan, with the Japanese firm displaying, amongst other new products, its new 1/12th pan car. Called the Cyclone 12 we first mentioned it back in February when it was shown in prototype form at the Nuernberg show in Germany. Now the car is finished and will go on sale immediately and it looks pretty good from the pictures we have seen and if the Andy Moores performance at this year 1/12th Euros is anything to go by it should perform very well too.

Our partners have RC Forum from Korea have taken their cameras along to the Shizuoka hobby show in Japan to take some pictures of the new cars and parts on display from the many manufacturers present and among the items spotted was the Hirosaka edition Kyosho Stallion. Other things on display from Hirosaka were optional CVD shafts, shock absorbers, springs and gears as well as the carbon components needed to upgrade your current Stallion to this Hirosaka spec version.

In the middle of April we showed you CAD images of the new Tamiya TA05MS and TA05IFS chassis’ and today Tamiya showed the real cars for the first time at the Shizuoka Hobby show in Japan today. We wrote about them before saying the TA05MS is essentially a competition based TA05 with carbon chassis, racing shocks and other optionals as standard while the new TA05IFS is an all new chassis with inboard suspension to fit the Super GT300 class bodyshell. Also shown at the show was a conversion set for the TRF415 MSXX to allow the mounting of stick packs.

We have shown you the work done by Masaaki Hirosaka on the Kyosho Stallion before in which he has completely modified it to the point that it is hardly recognisable. Today on his site he has announced that his version of the car will be shown at this weeks Shizuoka Hobby show, and judging by the very neat and final looking car in the picture above we presume it is getting ready to be sold. Also mentioned on his site is the fact that he will be selling, to order, pre built versions of the standard Kyosho Stallion TF-5, so if you ever wanted your car built by a World Champions mechanic, now is your chance.

It looks like Kyosho will be busy at next weeks Shizuoka Hobby show with the scheduled introduction of the new Shin edition TF-5 Stallion electric touring car. Made with large input from all Kyosho team drivers, and named after factory racer Shinosuke Adachi, the new car is much stiffer and features an all new carbon chassis plate to eliminate flex. Also new on the Shin edition is the use of shorter lower rear wishbones for eliminating roll, as well as a new system for adjusting the roll centers in the front and rear of the car. The car also sports a different servo saver with new Ackermann as well as a more rigid top plate and better weight distribution.

Kawada, the Japanese car maker, have announced the release of a 20th Anniversary edition of their M300RSX 1/12th scale chassis. This special edition first off features lots of gold anodising, which looks pretty cool alongside the carbon fiber, and in addition to that it has a new smoother action shock absorber, new T-plate, aluminum front strut, long wheel base chassis and the whole car comes pre assembled. A while back we showed you pictures of a new Russian made prototype touring car that has been tearing up the tracks in Russia. The car we showed you before was shaft drive and sported the motor mounted perpendicularly to the shaft and although we never did see how that worked along comes another Tourer, this time its fully carbon which makes it extremely light. The main feature of this, and the previous car too, is the fact that they dont appear to have shock absorbers or even anywhere to mount them and are basically flat pan electric touring cars.
