Spec-R R1 motor mount, chassis & top decks

New from Spec-R for their R1 touring car is a new motor mount support and new style graphite chassis and top deck. The red anodised machined aluminum motor mount now features an additional mounting point for the new top deck for different flex characteristics. The new top decks are made from 2mm thick graphite and come in narrow and wide versions, while the new chassis plate is made from 2.25mm thick graphite with a new profile which all together helps provide faster response and more traction.

Based off their VTEC 30X tires, LRP’s new VTEC G32 are the result of ongoing development of their touring car tire. Featuring a completely new rubber compound the results show improved traction and increased durability. Pre-glued, the set consists of the controlled tires, controlled rims with improved material and shape and controlled white inserts, which are perfectly mounted and glued and sold in a set of four.

BMT 984 1/8th scale chassis

BMT is returning to the 1/8th scale on road market after a break of many years, the former World Championship winning manufacturer has not been heard of much, with the exception of its entry into the Rally Game market, since the late 90s. The new BMT 894, the car in the photos is a prototype, is a pretty standard affair for a modern 1/8th scale car with some of the features including aluminium front & rear bulkheads, aluminium middle shaft bracket and a front anti roll-bar with classic blades or wire solution. The transmission uses a 0.8 module to improve acceleration and top speed, while on the radio plate it features a flex system and a radio tray module for both lay down servos and receiver including a RX box.

Roche, under their MR..Roche brand have released this new line of products starting with shaft blades for the Yokomo BD5/BD7 (Blue), Tamiya TRF415V5 (Pink) and Xray T3/T4 and VBC WildFire (Orange). These are made from a special self lubricating material, the low friction blade provide a smoother and higher performance on the drive-train. Next up is its line of MR (Marc Rheinard) ceramic ball bearings featuring a high quality pink and blue rubber seal. Available in 4pcs of 10x15x4mm or 4pcs of 5x10x4mm, the friction is reduced to near zero, so your car’s acceleration and top speed will be even better. For transporting your touring car chassis there is a new MR..Roche carry bag. The black case features the MR..Roche logo and colorful trim and comes with a handle and shoulder strap. Size 43cm(L) x 20cm(W) x 15cm(H).

Fenix Racing WRC F-One I-mola upgrade kit

Fenix Racing have released a major upgrade kit for the WRC F-One, called the I-mola. The kit includes and new chassis made from 2mm thick quasi isotropic carbon fibre and a semi rigid rear link which allows different rigidity of the rear links for fine tuning. Multi wheelbase options, on both the rear and front along with variable battery placement within a 20mm range and flex adjustment on the upper deck make for a wide range of fine tuning options for the setup of the car. The conversion has shown a lot of potential in testing and is available now.

Designed to maintain better corner speed while drastically reducing wheel chatter, HB have released this DCJ Drive Shaft for the TCXX. The DCJ or Double Cardan joint shaft breaks the single pivot point into two pivot points resulting in less drag and shallower shaft angles during sharp turning making your car easier to drive.

Yeah Racing have produced this aluminium 2 degree rear hub for the Tamiya TT02. As the name suggests it will give the car 2 degrees of rear toe and is a great upgrade from the standard stock part which allows the TT02 to run more stable. You can also run the hub upside down to switch between normal or high ground clearance.

Hot Race Tyres have added to their line of onroad tires by producing a line of touring car rubber tires. After a lot of test with experienced racers they were able to find the right compound for maximum performance. There will be two different shores, 32 and 36, two different inserts, soft and medium, and two different weights, light and normal. This is only Hot Race’s first venture into rubber tires and we are told they are planning to expand their range further in the near future.
