RC Maker A800R SlimFlex Carbon Chassis

As part of its latest product releases RC Maker has added two new SlimFlex Carbon Chassis for the Awesomatix A800R Electric Touring Car.  The new A800R features a uniquely shaped chassis which provides a lot of ground clearance and roll.  It is also very symmetrical front and rear.  From their testing, RC Maker have found a wider rear profile than front to provide a front bias flex point, which provides great response with very confidence inspiring stability.  The sides of the new SlimFlex chassis are narrow but straight, with a nice conventional, yet narrow profile front and rear.  This has proven an improvement over the standard chassis, resulting in a more nimble front end initially, with great corner speed and predictability from the rear end.  As well as the standard option, the SlimFlex Chassis is available in a hard version which features a significantly stiffer weave of carbon, which reduces the flex greatly.  The flex of this carbon chassis fills a large void between a standard carbon chassis and an aluminium chassis, making it the optimum choice for med-high traction asphalt, and low-med traction carpet.  Often track conditions can cause the need for an “in between” option, where an aluminium chassis is too stiff and makes the car too easy to drive and slower, and a carbon chassis is too aggressive or difficult to drive to be consistent.  The hard carbon chassis is the perfect middle ground.

RC Maker X4’24 Geocarbon parts

Australia’s RC Maker has released a number of its GeoCarbon parts for the recently launched Xray X4’24 1:10 Electric Touring Car.  First up is their brand new GeoCarbon Bumper Plate with Stopper that sports their ever stylish, stealth and innovative design.  The Plastic X4 Bumper and Stopper whilst effective, in RC Maker’s eyes doesn’t provide the most stylish solution to keeping your chassis safe in the event of a crash.  The design integrates the stopper under the main bumper plate, lining up with a lower flat section on the front bulkheads. In the event of a crash, the force will be transferred through this lower section of the bulkheads and keep the chassis in tact, with minimal effect on the bulkheads.  The 4mm thick heavy duty brace recesses over the small bumper posts enabling it to get low enough to align with the bulkhead.  When tightening the upper plate, it clamps the whole assembly down tightly.  The Carbon Front Bumper Mount Stopper is also available separately
