Serpent S120 Orange options

Serpent have announced the release of 2 new optional parts for their 1/12th scale chassis, the S120. Perfect for those racers that like to personalize their cars, the rear single piece motor pod and steering servo mounts, previously only available in gun metal grey, are now available in orange.

Xray Chassis balancing weights

Xray have released a complete set of 4 chassis balancing weights, 2x 5g & 2x 10g, and mounting hardware. Designed for Xray electric & nitro touring cars, to be mounted in pre-drilled chassis holes, they also fit other race cars as well. Made from steel and laser engraved with the weight value for easy identification, besides looking great, these weights can be stacked atop each other in order to achieve the proper chassis balance.

Protoform P909 1/8th scale body

Back in December we brought you the preview information on the new P909 1/8th scale body from Protoform. Now we have a photo and full information about the final product. This body offers contemporary styling as well as state-of-the-art aerodynamic features, incorporating some unique air management features to improve handling and stability as well as excellent turn in ability. Available in .030 Lexan (lightweight) or .040 Lexan, the body is supplied with a protective outer film and body side-stiffeners with hardware.

Artec Racing MK-001 1/8th body shell

We received a release from Artec Racing, another new player in the r/c market who will come out with a new 1/8th scale on-road body shell. We were sent a teaser shot of their first 1/8th body shell named the Artec MK-001. Designed and tested by two top international Team Orion and Kyosho drivers, Ilia Van Gastel and Adrien Bertin, it features a ‘stealth’ shaped cockpit and some ‘innovative’ features at the rear, but this will be revealed later at the Nürnberg toyfair where it will be seen on Adrien Bertin’s car at the Team Orion stand.

LimmetED Mini-Z Body shells

Small Swedish manufacturer LimmetED has begun the production of it’s own range of clear Mini-Z body shells. Currently there are 5 different styles available, emulating some of the more popular GT and DTM cars, with more bodies in the works. All shells have a 102mm wheelbase and 3+ offset front and rear just like the new MR02 LM.

Blitz Lola R09 1/8th scale body

New from Team Titan, is their latest Bitz 1/8th scale body shell, called the Lola 09. In development for more than 6 months, this latest design has been created for modern 1/8th racing chassis’, which have higher rear body mounts, providing better rear downforce. Available in 3 different thicknesses of polycarbonate – 1.0mm, 0.9mm & 0.8mm, they have also added 2 small wings in front of each wheel arch for better steering reaction and downforce. EFRA and ROAR homologated, each shell is supplied with side supports and comes clear with an overspray film.

Serpent S120 Front end assembly

Serpent have released the front end of their S120 car to be used on other 1/12th scale cars. Featuring 11 different adjustments to help you get the most from your car, all of which are easy to adjust and measure. Fixed lower suspension arms are themselves damped by the central strut which uses rubber o-rings to take up the flex in this area, while the grey anodised aluminium front upper wishbone mounts are available in different caster angles, the car being supplied with 6 degree versions as standard. With the steering block king pins spring loaded, the cornering forces are channelled through the upper wishbone, which enable the car to corner at high speeds.

East Civic bodyshell Carbon look

EAST have announced the upcoming release of a carbon look version of their popular Civic 1/10th touring car bodyshell. Sold in carbon fibre finish, the windows unfortunately aren’t see through, but the shell is supplied with the light and grill decals as seen in the photos. Same body, different look – perfect for racers with good eyesight who really like carbon fibre.
