Hong Nor release more X3GTS.e images

Hong Nor have released more details of their forthcoming new X3GTS.e 1/8th scale electric GT kit. The car was first seen in a short video clip with the new images now showing the production prototype car. The kit will feature aluminium open-type front and rear gearboxes – previous option parts – as stock, as well as a new chassis weight balance with the electronic components repositioned compared to the previous X3GT Electric kit for optimised traction and handling. Full details will become available in time of the release.

Rêve D YD-2 HT rear lower arms

Rêve D have announced the soon release of their new HT rear lower arms for drift car kits such as the Yokomo YD-2. The High Traction HT specification arms are CNC-machined from high-quality Duracon POM material for an accurate finish and best possible suspension action and they are of a reversible design, allowing to run the rear lower shock absorber mounting positions in two different heights, helping to fine-tune the suspension settings. The arms are available in 45mm, 48mm, or 51mm length and they use 3mm inner and 2mm outer suspension pins. Also available is a maintenance kit that includes four M2 tapping screws as well as a pair of 6mm spacers, the latter is necessary for the YD-2 series cars as the arms are 6mm narrower in the inner arm mounting area.

Exotek DR10/DB10 alloy steering rack & servo arm

Coming from Exotek are two new aluminium optionals for Team Associated vehicles in the form of an aluminium steering rack for the DR10 and DB10 vehicles as well as a general purpose aluminium servo arm. Starting with the steering rack, the part is of a heavy duty design and it is compatible with all DR10, DB10, and B5-based trucks and buggies. The part is precision-machined from high-quality aluminium and it comes polished and blue anodised for that factory racing look.

Bittydesign 1/10th on-road body shell carry bag

Bittydesign have announced the release of their new carry bag for 1/10th scale on-road body shells. An upgraded version of their popular 2015 design, the bag allows to store and transport seven to eight touring car or six to seven FWD body shells with the bag’s new material and completely redesigned structure ensuring the bag keeps its shape even after hot summer days while allowing for easier loading at the same time. The side panels sport Bittydesign’s updated graphics with the smaller front panels being made of light smoke colour material for improved looks while still to catch a glimpse of the bag’s content.

Serpent SRX8GT XLI Gen2 gearbox upgrade set

Serpent have introduced their new upgraded XLI Gen2 gearbox set for the SRX8GT. Using tried components from the Viper 989, this new gearbox provides a more consistent gear change along with less rotating mass, resulting in improved acceleration and less maintenance. The set includes all necessary hardware pictured to complete the upgrade including NSK bearings, high grade anodised aluminium bulkheads, one-way bearing, 2-speed shoes and a new shaft.

Kyosho Fazer Mk2 FZ02 Mercedes-AMG GT3 ReadySet

Coming soon from Kyosho is their new Mercedes-AMG GT3 ReadySet based on the proven Fazer Mk2 FZ02 4WD chassis. The entry-level touring car comes fully assembled and it utilises a shaft-driven 4WD drivetrain with sealed gear differentials, rigid suspension components, fluid-filled shock absorbers, and a moulded tub chassis. Other features include wheel hubs with dummy calibers and brake discs, grippy tyres on multi Y-spoke rims, and the name-giving Mercedes-AMG GT3 body shell. The ready-to-run set is rounded out by a brushed motor, electronic speed controller, powerful steering servo and a 2.4GHz radio system.

IGT8 Serpent 1/8th DAO drag assisted one-way

Coming from IGT8 and made for Serpent 1/8th scale cars is the DAO drag assisted one-way set. The system works with silicone oil to increase the internal friction that slows down the motion of the front wheels when being off throttle. This effect will improve braking, steering at corner entry and it will also help with more consistency and faster lap times. Tested extensively by the IGT8 team, the DAO was officially debuted at the 2019 US Nitro Cup with great results as Paolo Morganti took the TQ in the 1/8th class and Rafael Angulo finished 3rd while Ricardo Garri won the Master class.
