Tamiya reveal more TC-01 details

Following a first teaser video Tamiya have released more details on their forthcoming all-new TC-01 chassis that is decked out with a fantastic looking Formula E Gen2 body shell. The kit depicts the Gen2 car campaigned in the 2019/20 season of the Formula E championship, the pinnacle of full-scale electric track racing. The sleek body with cowled wheels is recreated in polycarbonate with the halo, mirrors and rear diffuser/bumper being separate moulded components. Decals are included to recreate the championship livery car. The kit is based on the all-new shaft-driven TC-01 4WD chassis and more details are expected to surface shortly. Carten M210 bumper plate & alloy locknuts

MW RC Cars from Austria have introduce new option parts for the Carten M210 M-class cars. New to the range is a plastic bumper upper plate set as well as 4-piece sets of M3 standard and M4 flange nylon locknuts as well M4 flange serrated locknuts. The fasteners are made of aluminium and they come in a gold colour anodised finish to complement the car’s colour tone. All parts are already available.

MST TCR M-class chassis kit – Coming soon

Coming in the foreseeable future is Max Speed Technology’s new TCR M-class chassis kit, a versatile platform that allows to use either front-wheel or rear-wheel drive from a single chassis. The chassis design enables the owner to use 210mm, 225mm or 239mm wheelbase settings as well as 164mm or 173mm overall width to ensure the platform is usable with pretty much every M-class body shell out there. The car is based on a FRP main chassis, it features full independent suspension components and a ball differential. Full details will become available in time of the release that is set for the third quarter of 2020.

Xpress FT1 & FT1S short shock conversion parts

Coming from Xpress and made for their FT1 and FT1S FWD touring cars are new short shock conversion parts. First up is a front adapter set that will allow to use optional short low-profile shocks in the front of the cars. The adapters are machined from aluminium, they come black anodised, and feature three mounting positions for the upper shock mounting while attaching to the standard shock tower. Also new is a short shock rear shock tower for the FT1 and FT1S. Machined from 3mm carbon fibre the shock stay features a new geometry for the use with optional low-profile short shocks with multiple upper shock mounting positions being accessible. Using shorter shocks will lower the overall centre of gravity, making for sharper steering response and improved corner speed.

Xray have announced the release of their new lightweight 2-speed 4-shoe clutch bell for the GTX8 nitro GT car. Made of strong Hudy steel and strategically lightened for low rotational masses, the clutch bell is yet very strong for exceptional durability.

Shepherd introduce harder Velox V8.2 springs

Shepherd have introduced new shock absorber springs for the Velox V8.2 1/8th scale IC track car. The new springs are a little bit harder compared to the standard kit springs offering additional setup options for various track conditions.

T-Works UFO half-thread hex head screws

Coming from T-Works are their new half-thread UFO hex head screws. Available as M3x6mm and M3x8mm variants, the screws are ideal upper shock mount fasteners as they fit snuggly into the 3mm shock mounting holes of on-road shock towers, improving overall shock mounting accuracy while also looking the part. The screws sport a shiny polished finish, they come in sets of eight and are available now.

Kyosho tease new re-release on-road kit

Kyosho have released a first teaser image of a forthcoming new vintage re-release on-road kit. The kit in question might be the iconic Fantom EP 4WD EXT 1/12th scale pan car kit, a 1980’s classic with a chain-driven 4WD drivetrain, double deck chassis and simple suspension components. The car platform has a pretty large fan base in Japan and with more and more vintage races being held especially in Europe, it is not of much surprise that Kyosho now also steps into the on-road world following numerous 1/10th EP off-road re-releases. We bring you more information on the kit as they become available.
