Smokem Racing XQ10 soft-weave carbon fibre chassis

Smokem Racing have introduced their new 2.2mm soft-weave carbon fibre chassis for the Xpress XQ10 touring car. As the name suggests, the soft weave carbon fibre material used significantly increases chassis flex compared to the stock Xpress chassis. This increases the overall grip of the car and widens the tuning window, so the car is hooked up over a wider range of conditions. There are also minor changes to the profile and cutout shapes to further optimise the flex characteristics for the split bulkhead design of the XQ10, to offer greater stability and higher corner speed.

Xpress 4mm wide 351mm drivetrain belt

Coming from Xpress is their new 4mm wide 351mm drive belt for their mid-motor touring cars as well as all touring cars that use 351mm long belts. Due to being wider than the stock belt, it will hold up the abuse of modified racing on ultra high grip tracks better, ensuring exceptional durability for that piece in mind. The belt is usable with Xpress’ own mid-motor touring cars and all kits that use 351mm long front or rear belts.

Radtec 10g screw-on brass weights

Coming from Radtec is their new set of 10g screw-on brass weights for on-road and off-road kits. Machined from high-quality brass material the weights sport a black surface coating that not only looks good but it also prevents corrosion while laser-etched weight markings make for easy identification without having to use a scale. The weights measure 19.5x16mm and thanks to their design that can be screwed onto the chassis and staked if desired. The weights come in sets of two.

Torpine turnbuckle assembly tool

Torpine have introduced their new ball joint and turnbuckle assembly tool that is usable with both open and closed type ball cups. The design of the tool allows the assembly of a complete rod in one operation without damaging the ball joints, as it can happen when using pliers. To use the tool, the ball joints are inserted into the corresponding fittings on the left and right hand side of the tool and the turnbuckle is placed in the middle fitting. Then the outer brackets are pushed towards the turnbuckle so that the thread is right in front of the ball cup. Now the turnbuckle can be rotated with side pressure and a suitable turnbuckle tool. When the desired length of the complete rod is reached, the finished rod can be removed from the jig.

T-Works T4 series alloy diff bearing hubs

T-Works have introduced their new aluminium spool and differential bearings hubs with POM spacers. The eccentric hubs are machined from high-quality aluminium and they include POM spacers for the ball bearings that will offer a smooth yet wobble-free ball bearing seat. The hubs come black anodised for wear and looks and they feature a white arrow marking, allowing for easy spotting of the chosen belt tensioning setting. The hubs come in sets of four or two and they fit the T4 2020 down to the 2017 model.

GForce TS90A 10.5T Drift Max Combo

Coming from GForce is their new Drift Max Combo, containing the TS90Plus speed controller and 10.5T Ryujin brushless drift car motor. The club-level TS90Plus speed controller features robust hardware with high-quality FETs for a very low internal resistance and lower operation temperatures, maximising the power output. The speedo’s software is widely adjustable using the optional Progbox, allowing to adapt the controller to a wide range of track conditions and driver preferences. As for the 10.5T Ryujin motor, the power plant is housed in a black anodised aluminium can with excessive machining making for a low weight and improved cooling. An internal fan further helps with heat dissipation while creating a unique sound, mimicking a high-revving internal combustion engine.

ARC R12 mid-motor touring car kit

Following a couple of teaser images ARC have finally fully unveiled their all-new R12 mid-motor touring car kit. The car was developed with maximising traction, increasing drivetrain efficiency and lowering the overall centre of gravity in mind. The vehicle builds on a newly developed mid-motor double deck chassis construction whose massive yet lightweight mono-block motor mount bulkhead improves centre rigidity while allowing the front and rear to flex independently thanks to the split double deck design. The motor mount also features integrated belt tensioning for reduced belt skip and increased drivetrain longevity. The new mirrored front and rear upper decks allow for independent flex adjustment while brand-new front, centre and rear belt pulleys provide a centralised transmission system for increased stability and handling of the R12. An optional 3.5mm wide belt is available separately for the ultimate in durability even when running the most powerful modified motors. A newly developed mid pulley also allows for swift and easy main gear changes after undoing three screws.
