Xray T4 universal fan mount & battery backstop

Xray have introduced their new universal mount for the T4 series of touring cars that can act as a fan mount and a battery backstop. Machined from aluminium and coming black anodised, the mount accommodates popular fan sizes including 30mm and 40mm but it can also be used as a battery backstop on the T4’20. The universal mount is installed on the bulkhead on the previous T4 version and on the motor mount on the T4’20 rather than the chassis to eliminate any tweak and to ensure no vibrations are transferred to the chassis. The part fits both the T4 series and the T4F’21 and it is available from now on.

T-Works module 1 short pinion gears

Coming from T-Works is their new range of short module 1 pinion gears. Made of strong steel material and coming with a black surface finish for looks, wear and corrosion resistance, the pinions also sport laser-engraved size markings for easy identification. The pinions are usable for on-road and off-road applications alike and they come in 13T to 20T sizes.

Sweep Racing SRC VHT Crusher 1/8th MT tyre

Sweep Racing have introduced their new SRC VHT Crusher belted slick tyre for 1/8th scale monster trucks. The tyre utilises Sweep’s proven 1/10th touring car tyre technology and rubber compound and it comes pre-mounted on 17mm hex 1/2” or 1/4” offset wheels. The tyre sports an outer diameter of 306mm and a width of 248mm and it features an inner belt to prevent ballooning under high RPM while the special design adds sidewall protection.

Xceed RC 30mm & 40mm aluminium fans

Xceed RC have introduced their new 30mm and 40mm aluminium motor and speed controller fans. Featuring a heatsink design aluminium case the fans a meant to take a lot of beating while adding to the heat dissipation capabilities of speed controller or motor mount heatsinks. The 30mm fan is available in black with silver, red, gold and orange colour details while the 40mm fan comes with red or silver details. All feature stealthy black wires and they are available from now on.

Tamiya TC-01 chassis – Coming soon

A first – pretty blurry – image of Tamiya’s new TC-01 chassis has popped up on social media. The vehicle depicts a Formula E car and thus the shaft-driven 4WD chassis is expected to be of a pretty low-slung design. We bring you more details on the project as they become available and in the meantime here is a short video of the car in action.

Vigor introduce new T4 carbon optionals

Vigor have announced the release of new carbon fibre option parts for the Xray T4 series of touring cars. First up is a bumper upper holder brace specific to the 2020 variant of the ultra-popular platform. The part braces the bumper against the front bulkhead in the event of a crash, prolonging the life of carbon and aluminium chassis. The mount is as direct fit and it includes mounting hardware. Also available are battery hooks developed for the use with the latest generation of slim or narrow-type LiPo batteries. The hooks allow for a secure fitting of the battery, they are machined from high-quality carbon fibre and fit all T4 series touring cars.

T-Works super-fine ride height gauge

T-Works have introduced their new super-fine 1.5mm-6mm ride height gauge. Machined from high-quality aluminium and sporting an anodised black and machined silver edge finish, the flippable ride height gauge allows to measure the ground clearance in 0.1mm increments – by turning it around to use even or uneven settings – making it the ideal tool for 1/12th scale and 1/10th scale electric on-road cars. Laser-engraved white markings help with easy reading of the settings.

Picco Monza GT Evo 5-port GT engine

Coming from Picco and designed for the popular 1/8th scale nitro GT classes is the Monza GT Evo 3.5cc engine. Featuring a 5-port multi-exhaust port design, the long-stroke engine was developed to produce improve power output throughout the whole RPM band with the DLC-coated crankshaft and rear ceramic bearing making for exceptional durability and smooth running characteristics. The engine utilises a new die-cast aluminium double bottom-end adjustment carburettor that allows for easy fitting of INS boxes. The engines includes a 7mm venturi insert and a P7TC glow-plug and it is also available in a standard variant with a standard crankshaft and steel rear bearing.
