Hobbywing XeRun XR10 Pro G2 Elite speed controller

UK Hobbywing distributors Schumacher have announced the release of the XeRun XR10 Pro G2 Elite brushless competition speed controller. Building on the proven XR10 Pro G2 the Elite version comes with 13AWG wires and no external switch, however the remainder of the features remain the same such as high-performance 32-bit M4 microprocessing for super-fast and precise control while built-in reverse battery polarity protection saves both the controller and battery when things are getting a bit hectic in the pits. Other proven features include greatly improved G2 hardware, software features such as a greater PWM frequency range for throttle and brake, ensuring optimised control when needed. Also part of the firmware are finer adjustable turbo increase and decrease rates as well as a 101 percent to 150 percent brake range, a feature that comes in handy when running high-turn stock motors with aggressive gear ratios. New for the G2 is also the ability to adjust motor rotation direction and the built-in BEC system offers adjustable 5V to 7.4V and 10A output. Last but not least comes a softening function that will improve vehicle control in high-power modified classes. The controller is programmable and upgradable using Hobbywing’s WiFi Express module and an iOS or Android mobile device with a more traditional programming box being also available.

Hudy professional 17mm bulkhead alignment tool

Hudy have introduced their new professional 17mm bulkhead alignment tool for the Xray T4 2020 touring car. The alignment tool is placed between the left and right bulkhead using the included steel shafts. With the block and pins in place the driver can loosen and retighten both the lower bulkhead mounting screws and also the upper clamps and shock towers for perfect alignment of all parts. After all the parts are straightened up, the pins and block will be removed, the diff or spool installed and the bulkhead upper clamps installed. The result is a more efficiently running drivetrain and thus overall improved performance while countering chassis tweak. The tool is machined from aluminium and it comes black anodised for looks and wear.

Team Zombie Evo 540-class brushless motor

Team Zombie have introduced their new Evo 540-size brushless motor. It features a unique 1-piece aluminium can that covers most of the stator, however it leaves open the large alloy insulator which ensures improved overall cooling. The endbell also sports cooling openings to further improve airflow through the can especially when used in 4WD off-road classes. A new stator design optimised the power curve, making it more linear which is essential for a more connected throttle feeling. The motor weighs in at around 150g, making it not the lightest, however with modern mid-motor touring cars being in need of weight in around the electronics area, it allows to achieve a balanced weight bias easier. Other features include 2mm thick ultra-low resistance solder tabs as well as high-precision ball bearings. The motor will become available in popular stock windings such as 13.5T and 17.5T.
