Capricorn C80 new design front & rear hubs

Coming from Capricorn are new design front and rear and hubs for their C80x series of 1/8th scale on-road kits. The hubs sport separate aluminium bearing inserts that ensure super-precise bearing installation and a drivetrain that produces less drag during acceleration as the bearings do not flex – and pinch – under load. The result is increased drivetrain efficiency that can add up to 2km/h of top speed. In addition the patent pending hubs feature a new geometry for increased steering and traction.

Vigor T4 & BD9 centre stiffener links

Vigor RC have announced the release of carbon fibre centre link sets for the Xray T4 2017 to 2019 and Yokomo BD9 touring cars. The set includes 1mm, 1.5mm and 2.2mm centre links that allow to tune the pitch and roll stiffness of the chassis by simply swapping the links, with the thinner parts allowing for more flex while the stiffer braces reduce overall flex. The sets are available separately for the T4 and BD9.

Vigor RC BD9 battery mount set

Vigor RC have introduced a carbon fibre battery mount kit for the Yokomo BD9 touring car. The tweak-free battery mounting system is constructed from carbon fibre and aluminium and it does away with the need to use tape to strap the battery into the chassis in favour of a mount that only slightly touches the upper parts of the battery. The result is more natural and equal flex left to right while the overall design also allows to shift the battery forth and back in order to fine-tune the car’s weight balance.

1up Racing double-sided turnbuckle multi-wrench

1up Racing have introduced the new double-sided turnbuckle multi-wrench that makes adjusting turnbuckles a breeze. One end is straight while the other is angled at 45 degrees to reach turnbuckles the straight side can’t easily access. Machined from aluminium and black anodised, the wrench features an ergonomic grip between the finger and thumb on both sides. In addition, a 3.75mm x 8mm opening in the centre offers an easy way to hold many popular on-road ball cups when starting to thread in a turnbuckle, with two Multi-Wrenches allow to tighten them all the way. 4mm openings at both ends fits many popular turnbuckles and the tool is available now.

Icon RC TC7.2 low profile shock towers

Coming from Icon RC and made for the Team Associated TC7.2 touring car are new low profile shock towers. CNC-machined from high-quality 4mm carbon fibre, these shock towers have been designed to achieve the lowest possible centre of gravity and to be used in conjunction with the latest generation of ultra short shocks, like the popular Axon dampers. Due to the design, the shock positions have been lowered by a whole 6.5mm. The shock tower kit includes front and rear towers with a complete conversion kit, including a set of Axon shock absorbers, also being available.

Serpent Project 4X Pro touring car kit

Serpent have introduced their new Project 4X Pro 1/10th 4WD electric touring car kit, follow-up model to the previous Evo kit. The latest evolution of the innovative electric touring car is packed with improvements that make it both faster and easier to drive. The new rear geometry that can be used with either fixed or active toe with the fixed toe configuration features a unique 3-pivot design for quick toe adjustments, easy track width changes and more efficient arm sweep. The variable toe variation however generates more grip while improved toe control gives the optimum combination of steering and rear grip. The new horizontal top deck is the result of countless hours of testing to find the perfect combination of flex and rigidity while improvements in various components allow more battery configurations, including shorty types, to make it easier to find the optimum weight distribution for each track. Other included updates will allow the mounting of more optional parts to further enhance the tuneability of the 4X Pro. The Pro uses all of the Evo’s updates including the same easy to build and setup shock system and fixed-length pullrods, while the rear suspension is heavily modified with much longer arms and a different geometry to create more steering and widen the setup window on medium to high grip asphalt. The Pro kit will hit stores this March.
