Yokomo BD8-2018 hard 2.5mm carbon fibre chassis

Yokomo have introduced a hard 2.5mm carbon fibre chassis for the BD8-2018 touring car. The chassis is 0.25mm thicker than the standard carbon fibre main plate for less torsional flex which is helpful especially in high-bite carpet and asphalt racing conditions. In addition the chassis is of a different shape in the B and C mount area – in front and behind the battery and electronic compartments –  optimising torsional and pitch flex for an easier driving feeling. The main plate is a direct fit on the 2018 car and available now.

GL Racing GLR 1/27 RWD chassis kit w/o ESC

GL Racing’s new GLR 1/27th scale RWD chassis kit is now also available in an ESC-less version for those who wish to use their own choice of speed controller. The kit makes use of the same chassis that was introduced some days ago, however it comes without the standard Hobbywing ESC in favour of an aluminium servo mount for the included micro-size servo. The rolling chassis needs to be completed with optional items such as a receiver, 15mm brushless motor, a suitable speed controller, a 47x11x20mm 2S LiPo battery as well as Mini-Z-style wheels, and 98mm wheelbase body shell.

Reckward-Tuning silicone shock & diff fluids

RMV have introduced the new Reckward-Tuning high-performance silicone shock and differential fluids. Developed and tested by Matthias Reckward and Martin Overkamp, the fluids are of very high quality to ensure consistency and performance even in the most demanding racing conditions. The oils are available as 250 cps to 700 cps shock and 1,000 t0 30,000 cps differential variants in large 100ml bottles, making them interesting not only for 1/10th and 1/8th scale drivers but also large scale pilots whose car’s huge shocks and diffs require large amounts of fluid. Beside the already available range Reckward-Tuning will provide additional viscosities in the near future.

Fenix BD8 aluminium main chassis & top deck

Coming from Fenix and made for Yokomo’s popular BD8 touring car are an aluminium main chassis plate and top deck. As for the chassis, much thoughts went into in-corner scrub and drag reduction, which leads to more flowing outer lines as well as redesigned battery mounting brackets to further add clearance during hard cornering. The chassis comes with extensive machining in the battery and electric area for optimised flex characteristics, a black coated surface and machined silver edge details. As for the top deck, extra clearance is provided in the pinion area to ensure proper fitting of large pinions when running high-wind stock motors. Both the chassis and top deck will fit the 2018 and 2017 BD8 kits.
