Capricorn P12 & TE-03 aluminium chassis parts

Capricorn have introduced a new aluminium main chassis plate for the P12 1/12th scale pan car as well as an aluminium upper deck for the TE-03 electric touring car. Starting with the chassis, the main plate was developed especially for high grip track conditions with its partly pocketed design making for a lower weight and optimised flex characteristics. As for the TE-03’s alloy upper deck, the part will excel especially on high-grip tracks as it reduced the overall chassis flex for improved corner speed and a slightly milder steering response.

R1 Wurks Super LCG 80A brushless speed controller

New from R1 Wurks is the Super LCG 80A spec racing brushless speed controller. Developed using an advanced CPU technology and proprietary software combo, the ESC is meant to deliver smooth yet most responsive throttle feel. The controller offers the same advanced throttle and brake adjustability as R1 Wurks’ Digital 2 ESC to suit a wide range of driving styles and offers blinky mode (zero timing) for spec racing. All adjustable settings are easily programmed using a digital program box, designed with an intuitive, easy to use interface. The unit also features the A.C.L.C. Advanced Component Level Cooling system, this design allows individual Mosfets to transfer heat directly to the upper heatsink. The Super LCG saves up to 50 grams (including wire) of weight compared to R1’s full sized ESC, and has a nearly 30 percent smaller footprint.

Orcan RSR-MH 2.1cc nitro on-road engine

SMI from Germany have introduced their new Orcan RSR-MH 2.1cc competition nitro on-road engine. Based on the popular RSR3-MH Sound of Racing engine, the RSR-MH has been upgraded and reminded for 2018. The most prominent feature of the are power plant is a shim that is located under the sleeve that can be added or removed to change the timing and thus the performance characteristics. With the shim fitted, the RSR-MH’s timing is set up exactly like the 2017 RSR3-MH, making it perfect for medium-sized and large tracks. Removing the shim changes the timing to deliver outstanding drivability and extra torque. This also reduces fuel consumption, restricts the maximum RPM and thus limits top speed. As on previous models, the carburettor comes complete with insulating bushing. In addition, modified air intake characteristics deliver lightning fast responses to throttle input. The distinctive outer of the new motor has an aluminium-coloured cooling head engraved in grey with the insignia Orcan RSR-MH. The engine is a limited edition items of which only 44 units are available.
