Yokomo BD8-2018 EP Touring Car

Yokomo have introduced the follow up to their World Championship winning 1/10th scale EP touring car kit, the BD8-2018. Available at the end of October the new version is a further refinement of the previous model to push the limits further. In order to reduce the weight of the drive train the front spool has been redesigned and is now a single piece composite part in place of the previous aluminium and plastic assembly, but still uses metal outdrives. All the suspension parts in the car have been updated to a harder material to increase the overall performance. The upper deck and main chassis has also been redesigned to increase the rigidly and optimise the balance of the car. While the updates may seem minor and conservative they actually offer a big improvement in all areas. As a special offer for the first batch they will also include the rear toe control system (B8-RTC18) for free.

Fenix Racing MTC1 aluminium options

New from Fenix Racing for the recently released Mugen MTC1 comes this new aluminium flex chassis. Following a similar design, the chassis shape follows the angled battery, thus preventing the front of the chassis from scrubbing on the ground. To better tune the rear of the car a stiffener has been included to be fixed to the lower chassis. On the upper part of the car they released two different upper decks, the short one is meant to work with the short carbon fibre one that comes with the kit, while the long one will be mounted in a more conventional way. Both upper decks allow the driver to tune the flexibility of the rear, also providing one extra set of holes to fix the rear end. Also available is fan holder able to carry both a 30mm or 40mm cooling fan and last but not least, is a 7075 brace for the motor mount.
