Yeah Racing Sprint 2 2.5mm carbon fibre main chassis

Coming from Yeah Racing and made for the HPI Sprint 2 touring car is a 2.5mm carbon fibre chassis plate. It replaces the standard, wobbly plastic chassis with a more rigid solution that not only greatly improves overall car handling and performance but also looks. The carbon fibre chassis is a direct replacement and it will hit stores soon.

Muchmore Fleta ZX V2 Titanium & Spec rotors

Coming from Muchmore is a full range of rotors for the new Fleta ZX V2 modified and stock racing motors. Available are a total of 15 rotors, including a dedicated drift variant with cooling fan and 1S 1/12th scale options, that will help to fine-tune the motor’s characteristics to the given track conditions or driving style. To ensure easy identification the titanium rotors come a yellow-anodised ring and all feature laser-engraved markings on the rotor body and pinion shaft.

Team Orion Vortex Ultimate Modified brushless motor

Team Orion have introduced their new Vortex Ultimate Modified brushless motor. Like the Ultimate Stock variant, the modified motor, that won the 4WD Buggy class at last weekend’s Hot Rod Hobbies Shootout in the hands of Xray’s Ty Tessmann, will offer increased performance and efficiency thanks to a low resistance design, a new “Ultimate” sensor construction for accurate timing adjustment and control and precision-balanced rotor manufactured using a new magnetic material. The latter will also improve brake efficiency and feeling while a new stator design and material makes for optimised efficiency and cooler running temperatures. The motor is rounded out by a 4-piece can design and a new angled front plate. The Vortex Ultimate Modified motor is race legal for all major governing bodies and it is available in 4.5T to 8.5T variants with a 6.5T 1/12th scale specific version becoming available also.

Teamsaxo Mini Bus body shell

Teamsaxo have introduced their new Mini Bus body shell for 200mm on-road chassis. Moulded from 1.0mm thick polycarbonate and sporting a realistic design the body fits all vehicles with a width of up to 200mm and a 250mm wheelbase.

Ultimate Racing 2S LiPo battery packs

Following the introduction of their new range of Ultimate Racing 4S LiPo battery packs, Spanish company Modelix Racing now also released information on their new 2S hardcase batteries. First up is the 7200mAh 110C pack. Its high capacity makes the standard size battery (139x47x25mm/320g) ideal for all power-hungry applications. Also made of 110C cells but slightly lighter is the 6000mAh offering (139x47x25mm/290g) with both packs utilising dual 4mm tube-type connectors. Designed for all applications that require a shorty battery is a 5000mAh 110C pack (96x47x25mm/200g) whose lightweight design makes it ideal for 2WD and 4WD buggies or pan cars. The hardcase battery is equipped with 5mm tube-type connectors. Last bit not least comes is a 4500mAh 60C stick pack (138x47x24mm/210g) that comes pre-wired with a T-type plug.

Yeah Racing T4 & general touring brass weight sets

Coming from Yeah Racing are two brass balance weight sets, one for Xray’s T4 line of touring cars as well as a general set. Starting without the Xray-specific set, the kit contains a total of eight weights with two dedicated ones for the centre line of the car while the additional six weights can be positioned in the steering and rear chassis area. The flat 8g and 13g weights that are part of the T4 set are also available as general 6-piece kit usable for nearly all touring and drift cars. The weights are machined from high-quality brass material, they come with a black surface coat and are engraved for easy identification.

TPro M4x10mm downstop screws

Coming from TPro is a set of downstop screws for 1/8th off-road vehicles. Specially designed with a flat head that better protects the chassis area compared to a normal set screw, that can grub into the chassis plate over time, the construction also makes for more precise droop settings thanks to the increased contact patch. The set includes eight M4x10mm screws that are usable on many of today’s 1/8th buggies, trucks and GT kits.

Picco R1 Team WC2017 3.5cc nitro on-road engine

Picco Micromotori have introduced the latest addition to their on-road engine range, the R1 Team DLC WC2017. The power plant is a limited edition run, tested on the 2017 Worlds track and featuring a different cylinder with updated timing that increases the bottom power to better suit the challenging French circuit. The engine is easily recognised by a new engraved cooling head, specially designed and dedicated to the event and maintaining the size of the standard version to obtain a low centre of gravity. As with the standard R1 Team version, the crankcase sports a designing concept that ensures more stable performance throughout a wider temperature range and thanks to its improved stiffness it is immune to any RPM loss caused by unwanted torsion. The WC2017 also shares the same double bottom-end adjustment carburettor for finer tuning and a better mixture flow. The crankshaft features DLC coating that prevents any oxidation and wear of the crankpin and the engine comes fitted with a ceramic ball bearing and a 7-port sleeve paired with a piston machined from high silicon material.
