RC Maker Awesomatix carbon tweak stick

New from RC Maker is the carbon fibre tweak stick for the Awesomatix A800 and A700 touring cars. Featuring a full carbon fibre construction, it is lightweight and disassembles for easy transportation. The tweak stick aids to pin the car down onto a flat surface with a single hand, whilst tightening the top deck screws with your other hand. Due to Awesomatix’ unique design not having shock towers, the tool utilises extension plates which exert even pressure onto the bulkheads left and right, front and rear. The design locates the extensions onto the bulkhead using locating lugs, which makes it quick, easy and accurate to use. Thick O-rings simply locate the extensions in place, which can be adjusted to suits the driver’s needs. Not requiring removal of anything to use, the strong carbon tube clears all spur gear sizes, as well as the antenna tube and belt tensioner. The tool fits both AM19-2 and AM19-4 upper bulkhead caps on the A800, and all top-deck configurations on the A700 without diff covers.

Reedy 540-M3 12x5x24.2 modified rotor

Team Associated have introduced the new 540-M3 12.0×5.0x24.2 Mod Rotor, Reedy’s latest tuning rotor designed for modified on- and off-road racers. Using the rotor will smooth out the low-end throttle inputs while maintaining strong mid-range power and top speeds. When competing on small and/or low-grip tracks the reduction in initial power delivery will help to provide more consistent lap times.

Capricorn P1-235 front chassis plate

Coming from Capricorn and made for the P1-235 1/10th scale pan car is a new front chassis plate. The updated design allows to move the servo towards the front end of the car, leaving enough room to fit a standard-size LiPo in the battery compartment and not being limited to shorty battery packs. As a result more powerful motors can be used while also allowing to play more with weight distribution.

Infinity IF14 aluminium cooling fan mount

Creation Model has produced a limited run aluminium cooling fan mount for its Infinity IF14 electric touring car. The mount, which comes complete with a 40mm fan, fixes to the chassis behind the motor and is held in place with a single screw and incorporated mounting pin. This method of securing the mount to the chassis minimises any effects on chassis flex. Also able to take a smaller 30mm fan, two screws fix the fan to the red anodised aluminium mount.

Triton L4 Pro Spec V2 Elite GT .21 on-road engine

Coming from Triton RC is the new L4 Pro Spec V2 Elite GT .21 nitro on-road engine. Designed for the growing GT classes the ROAR-legal 5-port power plant was developed and hand-tuned to provide super strong bottom end, midrange and exceptional top end performance for large GT racing cars with sacrificing fuel mileage. The carburettor low speed needle and housing design has been changed to provide even easier tuning than the previous version while the crankcase has been optimised for power and efficiency by manipulating the internal volume and angles. The cooling head is milled for easier engine mount driver access and a Swiss front bearing, with a special seal designed to prevent leaks, as well as a Swiss ceramic inner bearing provide ultra low friction and longevity. The package is topped off by an all-new DLC crankshaft for added wear resistance and durability.

Tamiya TB Evo.7 – Coming soon

Following a first official teaser another image of Tamiya’s forthcoming TB Evo.7 has appeared on the interweb. The photo shows what is understood to be the production version of Tamiya’s top-of-the-foodchain shaft-driven 4WD touring car. Said car features pretty bulky front and rear gearboxes with polycarbonate covers and ball-raced anti-roll bars, TRF419X-ish bulkhead covers and camber link mounts, short shock absorbers and also an aluminium main chassis but no top decks. The most noticeable change compared to the previous TB.Evo kits though is the mid motor design with the motor and electric such as speed controller and receiver swapping positions while the main gear also made a move way towards the front end. This also results in the main battery positioned much towards the backend. Much like the bulkheads, the aluminium floating servo mount is of a pretty bulky design. The reversed steering bellcranks are attached directly to the front transmission box to reduce the influence of chassis flex. The latter is controlled by a 6mm centre spline that allows for adjustable torsional flex but limited pitch flex. Furthermore the chassis allows for three different motor positions of front, mid and rear while the suspension components are a mix of TRF418 arms and TRF419 uprights. We bring you more information on the kit as soon as they surface.
