WRC STX 017 aluminium lower chassis

WRC have introduced a new lower aluminium main chassis plate for the STX 017 touring car kit. Machined from aircraft-grade 7075 aluminium and coming in a bright finish the chassis will increase overall stiffness for improved performance especially in very high bite conditions. Cut outs in the battery and electronics area optimise the flex of the chassis that is of a nearly symmetrical design with a mirrored motor pocket on the right hand side.

Schumacher Mi6Evo 1/10th touring car kit

Coming from Schumacher is the Mi6Evo electric touring car kit. The car utilises the latest developments from Schumacher’’s international racing and engineering team such as a modified chassis plate with increased cut outs around the suspension mounts for more traction. The shorter span, reduced footprint motor mount gives increased rear chassis flex and rear traction and it allows to brace the rear top deck without connecting it to motor mount for different stiffness tuning. On top of this the motor position moved 3mm inboard to reduce roll while centre line belts make for perfect balance. Other features include a lightweight 5-spoke spool, a lightweight centre pulley, carbon fibre reinforced nylon wishbones reduce weight and increase flexibility and an optional larger spur makes for a more forward motor positioning in modified racing. The kit will hit stores in March.

Arena T4’17 2.3mm carbon fibre chassis & new top decks

Arena have introduced a new 2.3mm carbon fibre main chassis as well as three new upper decks for the Xray T4’17 touring car. Starting with the chassis, the part is cut from 2.3mm high-quality carbon fibre and so it is 0.1mm thicker than the standard chassis, resulting in increased stiffness which makes it ideal for medium-high traction asphalt and carpet surfaces. On top of this the part is also meant to be more durable due to being thicker. Also new and made for the T4’17 are 1.6mm, 2.0mm and 2.3mm top decks. The parts allow to fine-tune the car’s behaviour on a range of surfaces with the 2.3mm part will offer a very aggressive steering but also improved braking performance due to providing an overall stiffer chassis assembly. All parts are a direct replacement and they are available now.
