Serpent Eryx 411 4.1 electric touring car kit

Coming soon from Serpent is the latest incarnation of the popular 411 platform, the 4.1. Intended to be a more conventional alternative to the somewhat complex Project 4X touring car, the 4.1 offers a class-standard design and features such as a centrally mounted 7075-T6 aluminium motor mount, an upgraded rear differential with new internal gears for smoother operation as well as big bore shock absorbers with pre-oiled X-rings. Also part of the 4.1 package are hard compound suspension parts, a 2mm carbon fibre main chassis and flex-type top deck, ball-raced anti-roll bars as well as a centrally mounted floating servo mount along low friction belts and pulleys. The kit will hit stores about mid-June.

Spice tease FWD M-size touring car

Japanese brand Spice, know for their Yokomo BD7 single belt conversion kit, have released first images of a new FWD M-size car they are working on. No details are known yet but the prototype images show a car that used a belt-driven transmission as well as select Yokomo parts. The car will be used at the forthcoming IRCC race in Japan and given the results it may go into production very soon.

WRC STX carbon fibre motor fan mount

WRC from Italy have introduced a carbon fibre motor fan mount for the STX touring car. Machined from high-quality carbon fibre the part attaches directly to the left vertical upper deck and its adjustable fan mounts brackets allow the attachment of the most commonly used fan sizes and designs.

Novarossi R4-17 nitro engine conrod

Coming from Novarossi and made for the company’s 1/8th on-road engines is the new R4-17 conrod. The part was developed for Novarossi’s high-performance engine line such as the Mito35WC and using a new material greatly improves overall durability with the conrod life being nearly doubled compared to the standard R4 while maintaining a low weight and high performance.

Fenix Mistral 2017 formula car kit

Fenix have introduced the 2017 variant of their Mistral 1/10th formula pan car kit. The evolution of the successful car features a new 16-ball ball differential with 1/4 inch Grade 5 titanium rear axle, triple ball bearings, thrust bearing and triple pressure springs for improved handling on all surfaces. The ball diff furthermore features a CNC-machined 84T 64 pitch main gear, large support plates for the diff rings and thanks to its design there is no axial load on the bearings which results in much longer life of all parts involved. The 2017 kit also comes with full titanium turnbuckles, a new front arm geometry, dual side dampers, inline/trailing front axles, longer titanium kingpins to accommodate after market springs and a special shock absorber with dual speed stroke improves traction. The car is available with a 2.5mm carbon fibre chassis or a 2mm 7075-T6 main plate.

Coming from VBC Racing is the Dynamics Edition FF17 belt-driven 1/10th FWD touring car kit. Based off of the standard FF17 the DE kit features a range of option parts such as new low-profile TBBS big bore shock absorbers, suitable front and rear shock towers as well as a belt-driven gearbox over the standard 3-gear transmission for a more linear throttle response and improved overall handling. Also included are Yaiba Racing double joint front driveshafts and a 23.5g low CG rear brass weight.

BMT 984 carbon fibre steering knuckle lever

Italian company BMT have introduced a new carbon fibre steering block lever for the 984 1/8th on-road car. The updated geometry will lead to an easier to drive car while also offering improved overall steering. The part is a direct fit and it features two mounting positions for the outer steering link ball stud.
